The island is beautiful, and the entertainment at Royalton CHIC was a highlight. The performers were energetic, engaged with the crowd, and the nightclub had great music every night. Unfortunately, communication and restaurant reservations need improvement. We received the welcome email introducing our property representative while we were in the air traveling, so we didn’t see it until the next day. That information should also be available in the resort app, especially since the app didn’t seem to be actively monitored. At check-in, we were told to make specialty restaurant reservations 48 hours in advance through the app. We followed the instructions and booked Haven Grill for our final night. When we arrived, we waited only to find out the restaurant was closed. There was no notification or update, leaving us dressed up with no choice but to eat at the buffet, which was unfortunately the worst meal of our trip. Overall, we enjoyed our first trip to Antigua, but better communication, a reliable reservation system, and improvements to the buffet would make the guest experience much better.
