I am a Hilton Honors member who travels frequently for both business and leisure. I rarely stay outside of the Hilton brand, but on this occasion, I booked through Expedia due to a special promotion and decided to try Wyndham’s Courtland Grand Hotel in Atlanta. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had, and I will not be returning. From the moment I arrived, the experience was unacceptable. The exterior felt unsafe, with homeless individuals not only in the street but also in the parking lot and directly in front of the hotel entrance, approaching guests for money. Security staff were present but did nothing, as though this was a routine occurrence. Inside the hotel, the problems continued. I attempted multiple times to contact the front desk regarding the condition of my room, but no one ever answered the phone. For clarity, here is a list of the issues I encountered during my stay in Room 729: * Bathroom sink did not drain. * Shower was stuck on one setting and could not be adjusted. * No shower liner provided; only a thin, stained cloth curtain. * No floor towel/mat supplied. * Curtains lacked a sheer liner, so sunlight could not be let in without fully exposexposing the room. Bathtub and bathroom walls were visibly dirty. Refrigerator was filthy. Pool area was poorly maintained, with discolored water and general neglect. Cushions in the poolside were stained, and in disrepair. Repeated calls to the front desk useless

I really enjoyed the hotel it has a lot to offer, maybe get a few more cooks for the restaurant. Scenery was AWESOME but I didn't like the many non customers around the front of the building other than that it was nice.

Didn’t eat the food, bed comfort ok but the bathroom door wouldn’t close. I have stayed there three times and always parked in the public parking. The rental car I was in got vandalized and stole my daughter’s college stuff. Will never stay at this hotel again.

There were 2 cockroaches in the bathroom then when moved to another room the air was out maintenance had to come fix that and after he fixed that problem it had a loud noise the entire night.

Never again.

This place is expensive. It may say a price a night but with tax and fees its alot more. The problem I had out of this place is if you dont read the fine print you wont see they charge a destination fee!!! Per day!! Also, parking up the street is way cheaper than their parking. I forgot something in my car and I never realized how much of a pain it was if you do valet parking. I paid for 1 day and had to walk to my car 3 times because they rushed you getting your stuff out. I also had 3 kids with me THIS IS NOT A KID FRIENDLY PLACE UNLESS you are okay with your kids walking through weed smoke and other drug use, half naked woman and more. There is a club right by it and ALOT of homeless people. It did not feel safe to walk around passed 6pm.

The property claims renovations are done but does not seem to be renovated. The pool are which is indoors, the pool chairs were infested with bugs behind the cushions and area did not seem to be cleaned in long time! the bar restaurant had great service, but the eve admitted that food wasn't great. In fact, I was given free food from y order due to them not having all ingredients and know the food will not be satisfying. The area surronding hotel is not horrible but up the block there is a small homeless camp. I stayed 5 days 4 nights and was only able to get my room cleaned once. Also contacting staff from room is impossible! i had to always go to front desk and still was not assisted after told someone would come to my room.

Location was not the best. The valet had cars backed up down the street. No self parking. Valet is 55 a night. Did not receive my deposit back. Old elevator and only 1 working elevator. Rooms very small for the price. Charged a resort fee and it's not a resort. Staff not friendly were very rushed during check in process. Restaurant not open in the morning. Concessions extremely overpriced. On the floor it smelled good but extremely outdated. I stayed for the convience of the price on Expedia but did not receive my deposit back. I would give it a 5/10
