I’m not at all giving this a bad review, it is a reliable hotel for the price point for sure. Some of the decor and some of the rooms are definitely dated and need some repair as you would somewhat expect. If you don’t realize this, a lot of hotels along the beaches definitely struggle with maintaining good quality Interiors. I will say that I was blown away with how big this specific room arrangement was. The room that we were in there was a big balcony a king size bed, a rather large bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a shower and a water closet, a desk area TV. It was a very big room with a chaise lounge in it. When you came out of that room, you were in a mini hallway and there was a powder room so there was two bathrooms and then in the main area, there was a massive living room area with a nice table off the side, and I’m also another little alcove off to the side and then a kitchen area, which was just fine. Through the passageway, of course was a secondary room with all the normal room things. So it was a good size room and would be excellent for a family. I decided to book it for a family member celebrating a birthday. So it was just the two of us, but it was nice to have our own space. The people there are really nice that work there. If you were looking for a casino, remember they do not have gaming tables. That being said they have an outstanding arcade and they have a go kart track and a bunch of other stuff. So it’s definitely a good economic price point.

The Showboat is a terrible property that is going bankrupt and will shut down. Carpets were duct taped, no wash cloths in the room, no hair dryer, no coffee maker and stains on the bedsheets. No a/c in main lobby areas and very poor a/c in the room. The entire hotel smelled like feet and pee. Carpets and walls were stained and dirty. Most restaurants in the hotel were closed. Crusty arcade games and cheap vending machines have replaced slot machines in this dump. We had to evacuate the property due to a fire alarm/emergency. We were hoping once everyone evacuated, it would burn to the ground so we could forget about the terrible experience. Upon returning to hotel, we watched the police escort a criminal in handcuffs out of the property. Several stabbings have been reported at this hotel in recent years. Don't waste your money on this defunct, dirty, gross, poor excuse of a hotel. Stay at the Hard Rock.

The front desk staff seemed unimpressed the maid service didn’t speak English. I had to request maid service even though I stayed for two nights. Only one light in the room the other didn’t work.

Directly on the boardwalk. Centrally located with a Variety of things to do nearby. Hotel was clean and room with spacious, but rooms are very dated and hotel housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. Customer service was less than helpful and usually none responsive to calls.

Had to pay $50 to park for a one night stay. Also had to pay an extra $20 because I checked in early. So my stay quickly doubled in price once I got there. Also the shower head in my bathroom is at my chest height. Im just over 6 ft tall so I dont understand why the head would be so low.

The furniture was outdated. The carpet was stained and dirty. Housekeeping was great . Everything was expensive. There was no spa available because they were doing renovations all over. Thank God I travel with Lysol spray and wipes bug spray cause I’ve ended up in some places that the pictures look nothing like when u get there. The bathroom was the best part of the room and the ocean view. But I had no hot water my first two stays until I went down to complain. Thank god I had two adjoining rooms the other room where my sons were staying had hot water. There was suppose to be two doors covering the refrigerator but one was broken off.

You had to walk a little bit to get to shops near you. The area needs to be cleaned up. It looks a little rundown thankfully they have built two new hotels right next to the show boat to help with that.

My room was good because it was renovated. Could use a microwave in the room and a coffee machine. It really sucked people on the floor smoking weed but facility doesn’t have control over what others do so I can’t blame the hotel for that! Other wise everything else was pretty good.

The main issues were the front desk staff weren’t friendly, & the carpets smell badly so even with ventilation, it’s not great. Especially since its a walk from garages. Otherwise, the room was ok, we had a nice time, & were close To our event, we were pleased!

Clean rooms comfortable beds but NO PARKING FOE THE GUESTS??? And 25$ per night not even a discount??? All that is included is bed n bathroom. Stayed 2 nights two adults n only 2 towels. There was no sign for the door requesting assistance or not n had to call for towels n then wait n wait… so no I will not visit the Show oat again. Just doe the parking thing I wont

I loved the room but I thought I could stay an extra and went down before the day and the hotel was sold out. Very unhappy having to leave the property and there was improper communication. So I found myself not given any other choice and have to scramble to find a new property and stress myself and wife. Oh and we bought a cabana at island Waterpark.privwte yes it's supposed to be .....but they were decroating around us and it was very not ok. Pleae understand I am not one to say or complain.it was uncortable. Oh and the fact when we got to the room the key did not work and we have to wait 45- hour for engineering to.come up and fix it. My wife was on the floor because of her back. Not something that leaves a good taste in my mouth. Sorry..

We stayed one night. The room was very old looking. Tub didn’t drain the water- had to call to complain about that and they sent someone to fix. Thank goodness we only needed the room for one night and we tolerated it. The rugs in the room were all stained - no mattress covers. Ugh - never again! Was too late to cancel reservation or we would have done so!
