NO CASINO, NO RESTAURANTS, PARKING $25 PER NIGHT..

My husband and I were celebrating our 42nd Wedding Anniversary.....we will NEVER stay there again. NO restaurants, NO Casino, expensive and very old rooms, no safes in the room. It was very disappointing, especially since we didn't know there was NO Casino, NO restaurant and on top of the expensive rooms we had to pay an additional $25 a night for Parking. Like I said, very disappointing and we will NEVER stay there again!!

Booked at Showboat as the rate was good. Our room was clean and comfortable. The shower curtain had something blue spilled on it so that should have been replaced. Other than that, we would stay here again.

We were given a room where people had been smoking and the smoke alarm had been removed with nobody in the hotel doing a thing about it. Also, we were charged additional hidden fees-"resort fees"-upon arrival that we had not been informed of. The hotel was understaffed - but the staff was courteous given that they probably have their work cut out for them.

I didn't like that they lie to us over the phone that the pool was included in the package i also didn't like that they lie about free breakfast and there isn't we need to pay for going to the pool where other places is free the one staff was extremely great other then that poor on everything else

This was the worst hotel I have ever booked in my life. The Showboat has been around for a long time and it's old, but that shouldn't excuse the filth. When I walked off the elevator, I was met with the smell of urine, and the elevator itself was disgusting. The rooms were equally dirty and had a terrible odor. Amanda, the manager, was unhelpful in trying to resolve my situation and seemed indifferent to my concerns. The other room she offered me was worse than the first. I requested a refund and decided to stay at another hotel. Not once did she say, "I’m sorry" or "How can I accommodate you?" I even showed her photos of the conditions, and I wouldn't let my dog stay in such a place.

I was surprised how crappy this hotel was. The bed was uncomfortable, ac didn’t work well, the neighbors door was loud and kept shutting and closing. They are obviously still renovating, but half of the stuff did not work. The pictures on their website is misleading. There’s no pool. Didn’t see billiards. I won’t stay here ever again

I don’t even want to give it 1 star. Filthy, super outdated and worn out. Rugs were ripped walls were stained trash was all around. One morning we woke up to poop in the hallway by the front desk. Very very poor experience. Apparently we didn’t do our research well enough

Surprise fees: We arrived at the hotel and were immediately met with a surprise fee, parking at $25 a night. Upon check-in we were met with another $30 a night fee that we were given no explanation for, other than we need to pay it if we want our room. This put us at $165 in surprise fees within minutes of arrival. The room (Two queen beds, ocean view): We paid for an ocean view room. It turns out, having to walk up to the widow and look all the way to the left to see the beach/ocean, is “ocean view” to Showboat. The bedding was rough/scratchy, the bed was hard as a rock, and the pillows had about three cotton balls in them as stuffing. The bath tub liner was pulling away from the tub at the wall, allowing it to fill with water between the tub and liner. There was barely any water pressure, making rinsing soap off/out of your hair nearly impossible. Accessibility (I am physically disabled): There were five garage elevators and six room (Burbon Tower) elevators. At the time of arrival, three of the five garage elevators were working and four of the six room elevators. The second morning there, ALL of the garage elevators stopped working and the lobby smelled strongly of urine. We also went down to two of six room elevators working at this point. No handicap access via elevators to my vehicle is an ADA violation. Full review on Google and Trip Advisor, Expedia's char limits are childish and prevent proper reviews.

Stay Bourbon

This hotel is due for a full renovation. The New Orleans tower was terrible and I wouldn't let my kids sit on the floor. We moved to the Bourbon Tower and it was a night and day experience. These rooms were clean and renovated. The Easter and Christmas decor was still up in the hotel and it is really dated. The water park and arcade were great for kids. The location was also great.

Our room was pretty dirty the sheets were stained with brown stuff, the tub in the shower was clogged.

We chose to stay here purely for convenience of location to an event that weekend. The difference in cleanliness between the newer rooms and the older, residential tower rooms & hallls was stark. Stains, dinge and "residue" were on clear display on carpets & room furniture. There are no microwaves available to the public in the resort hotel, only high priced food options
