Could use updates but price is good
We all enjoyed our stay. We did not spend much time inside the house. Kitchen garbage can was full upon arrival and most all other trash came had some trash in them. There was a random glass of water left on top of the refrigerator. The SHARC pool was closed the first day of our stay due to smoke and we had a busy second day planned. We only got to enjoy about 30 minutes there. There were 8 SHARC passes hanging by the door with a printout saying there are 10 and there is $100 charge for any lost cards. Hopefully I don’t get charged for the two cards that were not there upon arrival. Beds could be updated as they are very uncomfortable which made sleeping difficult. I’d recommend bringing a mattress topper or air mattress for a better night sleep. Bathrooms are outdated but not really a big deal to us since everything was functional. Screens and sliding doors feel like they could have fallen out anytime. There was a smoke alarm sitting on the counter with the battery out. One of the upstairs fans didn’t work. House has no AC and was really hot and muggy the first day when we checked in. Hot tub is nice but temperature was set at 87 degrees so it wasn’t very warm. We would stay here again just because of the low price. We could live with the other inconveniences.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Would NOT stay here again. I am so disappointed in this rental that I'm leaving a review which I usually don't do. Heat didn't work. They brought 2 space heaters, 1 of those didn't work. Microwave didn't work. A lamp didn't work. Cold nozzle on faucet downstairs bathroom falls off every time you use it, screen door came off tracks.

As expected...could be better with just a few changes
Overall the house was what I expected based on the other reviews. There's a fair amount of deferred maintenance and everything is a bit shabby and old. We were disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the house but Vacasa did work with us to partially refund our cleaning fee.
Cons
- No rails on bunkbeds make the upper bunks unsuitable for small children.
- Property is a bit run-down and in need of updates, especially the bathrooms...although everything is functional.
- Fireplace fan doesn't work so it is not a great heat source.
- Dining room lighting is below any reasonable standards so don't plan on having a meal around the table in the evening.
- It's a very "pet friendly" house so you are going to find pet hair. It would not be suitable for anyone with allergies to dogs/cats.
- No interior rugs at the doors which made it difficult with snow and tree needles to manage. We ended up laying down some old beach towels we had brought.
- No garage or bikes and it's a slightly longer walk to the parking area.
- No designated cupboard/shelf for groceries brought in by guests. Maybe it's just me, but I found this very unaccommodating and we ended up having to "find space" for our groceries (on top of fridge, on the counter, washer/dryer area, and dining room table).
Pros
- Reasonably priced for the standard of the home. Overall it was comfortable with a good layout. People shouldn't expect the Waldorf Astoria based on the price and pics.
- The upstairs area was good for kids/teens.
- Good location within short walk to SHARC on convenient trails. Nice setting amongst the trees.
- Good sized bedrooms with dresser space/closets.
- The WiFI was very good.
Overall we enjoyed our stayed but probably would not rent this house again without some upgrades. There's nothing really wrong with the house but it is clear the property owner isn't trying very hard.

Nice little cabin
Good little eclectic cabin. No frills, but very comfy, well-stocked kitchen and good proximity to the village. There were some reviews complaining about lack of amenities, cleanliness and updates, but didn’t find any of these issues. Would recommend.

Great space
This cabin is very spacious and comfortable.
The temperature of the house was a little hard to manage as the downstairs bedrooms were cold but the upstairs bedroom and living area tended to be too hot (if downstairs was comfortable).
Very close to the golf course and trail, about 10-15 minute walk to the village.

Good location, disappointed in cleanliness of house
Great location, but similar to other reviews the condition of the property is not on par with other properties. Walls have noticeable holes and scratches, screen door has tears, signs of water damage in the bathroom. All of that could be forgiven, but the house also wasn’t very clean. Extremely dusty with visible dirt by the doors, which makes me wonder if the cleaning service actually vacuums. Also found candy wrappers on the ground and the topper was a pair of visible (and early worn) underwear in the closet. I took one for the team and removed. Can’t recommend staying here.

Solid Sunriver property
Pros:
Hot tub. Space for 2 families of 4 if the kids can all bunk together. Very nice kitchen/washer/dryer. SHARC passes. Close to town/village. Well stocked with towels, blankets, dishes etc.
Cons:
A/C does not work. Patio furniture needs updating. Downstairs queen beds are uncomfortable (Very hard, and I like a firm mattress!). Could use grill utensils.

Extremely Disappointed
Our family has been vacationing in Sun River for 40+ years and this is the first disappointing rental property we have had. The pictures misrepresented the home and at a very high price per night, we definitely would not have rented this home. The place was shabby, run-down, cluttered with broken household items, broken blinds, broken fans, screen doors falling off the runners, rotton deck with exposed nails popping through, splintered, rotton deck railing, boards falling out of hot tub enclosure, faulty electrical outlets, frayed kitchen appliance with exposed wiring, microwave hood fell and hit the floor being held up with duct tape which could have fallen on one of our grandchildren, dirty deck chairs, broken railing on upstairs top bunk, and the list could go on. I have never written a bad review but at this point, I will be posting this review on social media as I would hope no other family would have such a disappointing rental experience that does not come close to the quality of other rentals we have had in Sun River. We have pictures that show what was described. In the future, I will go through other realty companies we have used previously as they stand behind their rental properties. We were offered an obligatory 15% discount which does not come close to what I would expect for such a negative experience.

The unit is full of spiders. The unit was not cleaned prior to arrival and appeared to have been vacant for several weeks as evidenced by cob webs and wasps inside. The decks were not cleaned and the hot tub was dirty. Possibly a nice place if cleaned and maintenance completed.

Too many spiders!
Overall disappointed with this property. There was a spider problem and although we were compensated some it still made for an uneasy stay, especially for my kids. Wouldn't recommend this place. We have stayed at many in Sunriver and this is the first time we have been disappointed with our accommodations

In desperate need of updating and a thorough cleaning
This home is anything but 'sleek', but I'll start with the positive: a good hot tub and a convection oven; regrettably, nearly everything else about this home was AWFUL. I am fairly certain much of the electrical wiring is illegal and a potential fire hazard (e.g. the random wires in the kitchen just above the sink that are literally just sticking out of the wall). The linens (bed, kitchen, bath) are DISGUSTING. I had to make a trip into Bend just to buy decent bath towels and a pack of 4 kitchen towels that didn't look like they had been used to clean animal waste for the past 20 years. The shower had no plastic liner, just a dated cloth curtain that specifically said 'use with plastic liner'. Are the owners of this cabin so cheap that they can't spend a little money on the basics? The mattresses were like sleeping on concrete; I imagine that a night on the pine needles outside would have been more comfortable than these. Never mind that the mattresses are likely 30 years old. It took me several days for my back to recover from my 'relaxing' vacation. I would strongly recommend that the owners take a trip to Ikea and invest in some basic linens and a couple of mattresses, this could potentially disguise the fact that the cabin hasn't been adequately cleaned in years. There was hair (pet and/or human) all over both couches and the floors, the wall behind the sink was spotted with stains, and when I grabbed a blanket from the closet, it too was COVERED in hair (again, of unknown origin, not that it makes much difference). After my trip to Wal-mart for linens, I spent the next several hours doing laundry in hopes of making this a tolerable place to stay. I would also add that a few decorative updates would be appropriate. There's a lamp in one of the bedrooms that I recognized from my childhood in Florida, from the 70s. The throw pillows on the beds and couches were equally dated (and just as gross as the linens). I'm ok with re-purposing old furniture, but do it in way that doesn't suggest 'indoor rummage sale' or 'place where tables and beds come to die'. I'm so terribly disappointed with this experience, but on the upside the conditions inside forced me to spend all day, every day outside (walking, biking, hot-tubbing).
