Although they completely messed up my booking and I had to listen to many others making quite serious complaints, the barmaid, chef, and reception staff were very good and were professional, courteous, and hardworking.

Very scenic.

Nice hotel in amongst beautiful coutryside. Rooms were extremely hot with no aircon which in normal circumstances i assume wouldnt be an issue but was very nice weather during our stay.

Quite dated

Hotel needs an update. It gave a former asylum vibe. Our room was not the cleanest, with a spider living in the corner of our bathroom. However, price was great, so if you're looking for somewhere to just crash it's alright. We're used to higher standards with my partner. Staff was very friendly so that's a positive :)

The view from my room was of the staff smoking area... Reception was unattended for 10 minutes on my arrival. When they eventually came, I was told to wait 5 more minutes, but even after waiting, they tried to serve other guests first. I had to clean the bathroom before I could use it, as it showed signs of not being properly cleaned for an extended period. (I found more than one type of hair) There's no absolutely no noise control and no soft door closers which means late night guests keep you up and the maids will wake you up first thing and stop you going back to sleep. My family in other rooms said the same thing, except they also had a lot of spiders. I didn't sleep the first night, and reception had no earplugs. Apart from one lady at reception, the staff all had a terrible attitude.

Staff great; overdue for some redecoration; get a chain grate toaster as long wait for 'domestic' toasters to deliver which provides opportunity to view the 'muddle' on the shelf under the pastries!

Good big carpark . Rooms are clean . Corridors sometimes smell of weed . People must be smoking it in there rooms . Hotel staff must smell it and turn a blind eye. Quiet remote . You need to drive as there is nothing round about it . Overall OK

Staff helpful and pleasant. Mattress and pillows were too hard and firm , just couldn’t get comfortable , only 1 hours sleep at the most. We were in our eighties and nineties and nobody to assist with opening heavy doors that lead to bedrooms.

The staff are extremely kind and helpful and I sincerely appreciated their time and attention. The building, however, is in dire need of interior renovation. The carpet is stained, the walls are scraped and peeling, the trim is coming off the walls, the drains are rusting and the shower smells. The bedsheets were very clean and the room was not dusty, but the whole experience had a very run down sense of disrepair.

Tired hotel, good service

The hotel seems to have ‘two sides’ the old side and the slightly improved side. When we arrived I could feel this instantly and hoped we wouldn’t get the ‘old looking side’ we did. We didn’t actually go into the room because just being in the hallway had an overwhelming smell of people smoking. I asked to be moved. We were then moved to the ‘better’ side and although this wasn’t said out loud it was insinuated by the receptionist. To her credit she was extremely helpful and moved us straight away. The ‘new’ room was still tired and the heating was on and couldn’t be turned down. The hotel served its purpose and was in a convenient location but I would explore other options next time.

Back to Bingley!!

My cousin and I stayed in 2 rooms while spending the weekend meeting up with wider family. Everything was very good - no problems or difficulties at all. we didn't have breakfast as we had made other arrangements. We enjoyed our stay very much - loved the sight of the grounds from the room and although some of the buildings are looking a bit tired, the main entrance is stunning and the rooms were fine. Very good value for money.

Set expectations low - does the job

I arrived late and when I got to my initial room, located in the old part of the hotel, it was a lot more run down than I was expecting. The windows were open and hard to close and it felt very dated and grubby. I went to shower and found it a) didnt mount on the wall in a fashion that meant i could wash my hair properly and b) had a split in the hose so water didnt even come out the shower head I packed up and went back downstairs. Julie at reception was very lovely and helpful and moved my room which was also an upgrade due to there being no more "classic" rooms. The new room was in the newer extension and felt better but the bathroom still felt very grubby with the shower curtain in desperate need of a change and a toilet with a flush that didnt work well. It was ok for what i needed though and was cheap Unsure how its ranked 3 stars though.

Avoid at all costs

The most awful experience of a hotel in my life. We arrived at around 10:00pm, the front desk looked messy and I knew from that point the rest of my time there was going to be terrible. It was that terrible that I lasted 10 minutes before I decided to book another hotel and go somewhere else. The hotel is like a sauna as you walk to your room. I asked for a quiet room and what I got was a room that looked nothing like the photos, paper thin walls so you can hear everything from the next room, windows single glazed so could hear all the noise from outside. The rooms were dirty, mold stains all over the bathroom, a long hair found stuck to a dirty tea spoon, lumpy beds. I am sure if I stayed longer I would have found a lot more. I also wished I had taken pictures but I was that disgusted I had to leave immediately. Never again, avoid at all costs.
