Although daily housekeeping is listed on Expedia's website. We were here for 4 days, and our room was not cleaned once. No coffee station in the room, small bed, parking not close to the hotel, and expensive. No breakfast, just 1 pastry, maybe a 2-star hotel, DEFINITELY NOT 4 STAR. The location is good, but several other hotels in the area would have been better options for a similar price, possibly even cheaper.

The hotel was in a convenient location for an overnight stay to see the Boston Pops and within walking distance of the restaurant. It was clean and check in/out was easy. We had a cocktail in the lounge before we went out and i enjoyed a Mediterranean Mule which was delicious.

It was a spotless small, albeit small. The staff was fantastic. The amenities were great. But overall, it's a great location in the middle of everything, and the staff could not be better. Unfortunately, upon check-out, some damage accidentally happened to my bag. I called the hotel, and the situation was rapidly resolved. Kudos to the manager.

Charlesmark fit all my checklist for my weekend stay in Boston…clean, cozy room, welcoming staff. Location was perfect! Reminded me a bit of small European hotels in which I’ve stayed.

The location is just great, compared to its price. There has been some minor noise such as water running, heaters. So, if you're very sensitive with noises, I won't recommend this place but for me, I will always come stay here when I am back in Boston!

This is a small hotel tucked into a busy area near several larger hotels. It was a convenient walk to the Hynes Convention center, where I was attending a conference. There were lots of food options for lunch or dinner in the area as well as a grocery store about 5 minutes walk away. The room was small but they had a lot of little additions, like a folding chair, to make the small space work better. They had a microwave downstairs for guests to use. The room was clean. A few negatives: 1) They still use down pillows, which is terrible for people like me who have allergies, 2) they advertise a free breakfast but it doesn't exist. You can go to the restaurant downstairs and apparently get free coffee and a bagel or something if you order there but that's it. It didn't help that there were few options for breakfast in the area, especially on the weekends (except for expensive brunch places). They need to change the listing on this site to shift expectations about breakfast. One final issue was that they didn't really have any trash cans on site. They need somewhere to toss out larger food items and boxes, especially because the room is so small. You don't want them stinking up the room or taking up space.

The hotel and room was neat and modern. However, a mouse crawled across the floor as I was watching tv. I asked for another room which the nice clerk promptly gave me. However, it was “occupied” by a young couple who were engaging in some rather spirited activity when I opened the door. Back down to the desk clerk who was horrified and confused because the room should have been available. The 3rd room was ok but I didn’t sleep well. Some things you just can’t unsee. The management was very apologetic . These things happen but I hope the hotel will reach out with a discount or better for a very unsettling night.

We stayed at the Charlesmark Hotel for our anniversary, and our experience was extremely disappointing. On our last night, we were suddenly awakened by a very loud noise of running water. When we checked the bathroom, we found that the toilet was leaking so badly that the entire bathroom floor was covered in water — and the water had even started leaking into the room itself. We immediately notified the staff. They came to look, but the hotel was fully booked and they were unable to move us to another room. We had no choice but to spend the night with a flooded bathroom, water leaking into the room, and constant noise. It was completely unacceptable, uncomfortable, and honestly unsafe. We requested a refund for the night, but the hotel refused, which was extremely disappointing considering the severity of the issue. This was supposed to be a special anniversary trip, but the experience was completely ruined.
