Be aware of this scam of a hotel. I was charged $250 for a smoking fee when no one smoked in the hotel room. God forbid people are respectful. Stay away.

Upon checkin the front desk person led us to believe we were getting an upgrade to a larger room with a great view. When we reached our room we discovered it was a handicap room. We were very angry and when we called down to the front desk they brushed it off with you got the last room we are sold out. We had made these reservations 3 months ago thru Expedia. Reported to Expedia when they texted how’s your room. Response from Expedia we’ll inform the property. Didn’t happen dupped by Marriott and Expedia……BEWARE..

We were there to go to a game at Fenway and to see the many historical sights. The team at the Courtyard were amazing. Became like family. And took such good care of us. As someone with a handicap it was truly appreciated.

Will change your room type reservation!!

This hotel was good for what we needed it for. Upon check in was not told our reservation was switched from a king room that I booked to a double queen until we walked in the room to find that. Went back to the front desk and said the hotel was sold out and there was nothing they could do. Was informed that our room was changed without telling us because they give priority to their Marriott members. Was very unhappy about this. The room was ok. Bathroom was not very clean and there was hair all over the shower. Would probably stay somewhere else next time we go to Boston, but it was still an okay stay.

The bed was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were spacious. It had a small refrigerator and a safe. The staff were helpful but I wouldn’t say they were the kindest or most helpful in my experience. We didn’t have very much interaction with staff. This was a great location if your activities were in the south end of the city. Although it was very easy to travel to the north end.

Great location - Great accommodations

The room was well designed and comfortable, the staff helpful. Surprisingly quiet in the midst of the city. Beautiful historical building. Right in the heart of the Back Bay.

The hotel was ok. Staff very friendly and the room was good. However, the cleaning could be better. Nightstand has grime that was never wiped down. Majority of towels had either red/brown or yellow stains. They only clean every other day which is fine but only give you one bar of soap and only 2 coffees, so you have to ask for more. Homeless camp out at library next door but didn’t bother us. Gym is tiny.
