One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in quite some time! Beautiful and quiet property in the middle of Back Bay. Super clean and comfortable rooms, bigger than I would have expected! Coffee and sparkling water in the spacious lobby and two on-site restaurants with great bars if you’d rather stay in. We’re definitely coming back!

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is right next to so many shops and restaurants. Extremely easy to get around. The staff is also very friendly which added to the whole experience. Would definitely stay again once the weather warms up !

We really enjoyed our stay at the Newbury Guest house. Staff were very friendly upon check in and our bay window room was lovely, very spacious, warm and spacious. Everything was very clean. The coffee and water facilities in the reception area were very much appreciated. The staff kindly accomodated a late check out, which was super appreciates. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely charming place to stay on beautiful Newbury St. We arrived shortly after it had snowed a good 3-4 inches, and it was bitterly cold. I was slightly disappointed that the stairs were a bit icy, but once inside I was greeted by an intimate lobby with a wine fridge complete with extensive wine selection, lavazza coffe maker, keurig, microwave, and an ice-cold filter water tap. Facing Newbury St. was a small “living room” style seating area with plush chairs and board games. I waited a good 5 minutes at the desk before someone emerged from behind a semi-closed door. There was no bell or button to press to alert staff, nor a sign stating they were away from the desk. No apology was made for the wait, but the woman checking me in was very friendly and I didn’t say anything. In all fairness, she could have been on a call/meeting or handling an issue with someone, so I don’t feel like my wait alone should indicate any issue with staff’s availability. Check in was simple and quick. The hallways are narrow, but it enhances the place truthfully because you can feel the history here. You may encounter having to go down two stairs to only go back up two stairs to get to your room. This is because the Guest House is actually three late Victorian era houses that were joined together! My simple queen room was clean, comfortable, and adorable. I loved the view of Newbury and the ample lighting options in the room. Bathroom was very small, but impeccably clean and modern. Very happy

Cozy, great staff and feels good.

We loved it. Great location with complimentary waters, coffee and hot choco. Parking was available for a few right behind the building which was amazing specially cause it was 20 degrees :) staff was amazing. The French restaurant downstairs is AMAZING!

Want to explore Boston while staying in an authentic Brownstone? This is your place. The property is located on Newbury Street. The food choices are endless no matter what your dietary needs/likes are. Shopping? the shops on Newbury are an experience in themselves but the property is directly across from the Prudential Center. Free parks, museums and colleges are also within walking distance. Public transit is abundant. The staff was beyond kind, informative and helpful. The space/lobby was comfortable and truly a place to enjoy the evening watching the city go by. The variety of free beverages offered makes up for the lack of a coffee maker- in room. There is an elevator, but the stairs if you take them, are original. They slant slightly which can be disorienting when navigating to the third floor. The parking was cheap for the city and worth it. The doors in the rooms don’t have a second latch, that and the doors to the outside not being locked made it feel a little unsafe. The views of Newbury Street and the Boston Sklyline made up for that. The staff went above beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend this stay.
