Red Roof Inn was not my top choice, as where I'm from they are associated with prostitution and drug use, but we were in a different state and just needed a cheap place to sleep and reviews weren't bad. The hallways smelled bad, like weed and chemicals. The room itself was very spacious and overall clean enough. However, there was an overwhelming air freshener smell, I mean INTENSE to where you almost feel like you can taste it. Then half the TV channels didn't work, the bed was super squeaky, the bathroom sink water temp wouldn't get hotter than room temp and there was so much moisture in the air that the bedding felt slightly damp. The person working the desk had a baseball hat on, thought that was odd, he didn't speak other than to tell us about the incidental charge, and tell us what floor we were on. He wasn't rude or anything, but I guess I'm used to a friendlier check in at hotels. It was quiet, so that was a plus. Just not worth the price, it was a cheap room at around $130, but quality of a room that should be about $70 a night.

Showing age but will go back.

Value for price was good. Building is showing its age. One elevator (of 2) was out of service. Same one as two years ago. Otherwise it was fine. Room was comfortable. Shower was good. Bed and pillows were great.

I would not recommend this property. 1. Its run down very dated. 2. The smell in the room 529 was nasty smelled of dead fish. 3. Beds are cheap spring mattresses that you can feel every spring. 4. Pillows were flat. 5. Had to ask every day for room service and the maids seemed put out by me asking. 6. Had to ask for clean towels every day. Parking is not well lite. 7. Only one elevator. 8. No tv guide very limited channels. The only good thing was the water pressure in the shower.

Staff was great, room needs a lot of work. Walls and ceiling is peeling due to moisture and water damage. Some visible mold. Bed was uncomfortable but the worse part is the ac was not working and I was hot all night. I did not ask to be moved because I was only there to spend one night and I was already unpacked for the night
