A few things -- I wouldn't necessarily say stood out, but.
- When we arrived, we were given a complimentary bottle of wine, which was lovely, the gentleman asked what I'd prefer, and I said a white, and if at all possible, a sparkling. They sent up a bottle of Shiraz.
- The next thing is, over the last few years, we've noticed a considerable decrease in the quality of the food available for the breakfast buffet. We recently stayed in Sydney, at the Rydges airport, and the food was superb. Considerably higher quality, and much more variety.
As for the amenities, they can't be faulted. I've never had an issue with the Rydges, and that's why I continue to go back.
The only thing that I'd like to suggest, is that the management consider extending the room service hours, and perhaps the menu items, and bring things like the couple's/romance offer back. I'd also suggest the ability to pre-order car parks as part of the reservations process.
I am also more than happy for the management to contact me to talk about this further.
