Bucklands Beach hotels & accommodation with pools

Smooth and easy check-in, girl who greeted us was lovely. Quick elevators, large room and comfortable bed, nice bedding (we quite liked that there was no top sheet to get tangled in). Shower was ok, however there needs to be a door, or sliding glass as water gets all over the bathroom floor - with the toilet squeezed in there, could be a hazard as well as being a pain when sharing space. There appeared to be only one hook to hang towels, but plenty of space for hooks - back of the bathroom sliding door etc - so this needs to be remedied. Quiet room, even being directly under the rooftop bar. Liked the 'mood lighting' option instead of having all lights on, however we had to block the bedside 'night light' sensors, as could not figure out how to turn them off without turning off the master switch at door. There was no warning that the rooftop bar was having a function, and even during setup, we were not allowed to have a quick looksie at the view... and disappointing when we went for breakfast, before checking out, that we were overcharged just because we wanted to pay the restaurant directly instead of charging it to our room. Exact same item on menu that was the special, yet we were charged differently, and they were not interested in remedying. Handy to CBD activities but unsure if we would stay again due to service received, plenty of other spaces to go.

We came to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday at the 8s Restaurant and stay for 2 nights. We don't often spend money at these expensive hotels and eat at restaurants but this was worth it. Thank you to the fantastic staff at Cordis for making our stay memorable.

Nice and central. So much going on in and around the Auckland CBD. The staff were accomodating when I had left key cards in room and sorted us out another couple so we could head to bed. The band performing in the Casino was so good and had everyone singing and dancing along. The only issue was how noisy the air conditioning was at night, it kept us awake
