The room and lobby was spotless. The grounds was well-kept and the room we had was one of the nicest, most taken care of rooms. The rings were all updated and beautiful artistic touches, hand-painted art and an outdoor theme throughout the entire hotel. The hot tub was a huge bonus for us! As we went joining almost every day we were there! Such a beautiful place! We can't wait to come back and bring the kids! Breakfast and coffee war amazing each morning, too. It felt very special to stay there. The owners and hotel staff was friendly each time we talked with them...I can't say enough good things about this place! What a treat!

I booked this hotel last minute for a solo trip to Salida/BV. The rate was awesome for what i got. The room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. There was a soft blanket on the bed which made the room feel even cozier. I didn't get a chance to make it down for breakfast, but the staff was sure to let me know this was available! Everyone was friendly, and check in was a breeze. Parking was readily available with no issue. Couldn't have asked for a better stay-cation! Would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast options were outstanding! Organic options, vegetarian options, fresh fruit, delicious local coffee, healthy options, sweet options, and savory options. The staff is very attentive to supply and keeps everything refreshed. Staff was very friendly and personable helping guests learn more about what activities were available in and around Salida. I highly recommend this hotel.

Brown's Canyon has found that sweet spot between the high-priced lodge and the chain motels. Reasonably priced, yet well maintained & kept up to date, Brown's is a little quirky with some extra touches not always noticed on the first stay. The other returning clients one meets here (like me) know. Conversations between guests seem to come easier here than at a chain hotel. The staff is friendly, local, caring, and helpful.

There wasn't a lot of options for breakfast, but I understand it isn't a chain and doesn't have a large amount of guests or staff. There was a good variety, just not great. Loved the fresh fruit options. The fan in the bathroom in our room was VERY loud, but the beds were comfortable, the shower refreshing and things were clean. Would stay again.

It wasn't great. Customer service wasn't great, when I asked for more pillows I was told I had enough in the room. The top sheet was wet/damp on both beds. We just took them off, didn't feel that anything would get done about it. Location was good though. I don't think we would stay again, there is so many more options.
