Property location is excellent. Close to the waterfront, and easy walking distance to all of the central area shops, bars and eateries. The property itself is very tired though, and in need of a big update. Although the bathroom was very clean, there are some cracked tiles, crumbling plaster and outdated fixtures. The bed was comfortable enough, but lacking the softness of a good hotel bed. The air conditioner worked well, but was quite noisy. There is a microwave, kettle and toaster in the room, and crockery/cutlery was offered at check in if required. The small bar fridge worked well and was adequate for our requirements. Plenty of parking available on site. Staff were professional and efficient.

Safety of egress from carpark onto Clifton Road - very dangerous. RV vehicle obscuring vision. We were missing teacups. No bike racks. No water-saving shower head. Very thin toilet paper that means you have to use copious amount! Reduce single use plastics by installing refillable bottles in bathroom and shower.

The woman at front counter was lovely, very friendly and helpful. the rooms are old - 1980s vintage, spacious and have everything you need- microwave, kettle, fridge, hair dryer but not flash. No dining onsite but great cafes a 5 minute walk away on Victoria st.
