Family accommodations in Cabbagetown

I needed a place to stay last minute in Toronto and the Royal Oak Inn was a good price in the right area. I arrived late in the evening having made a reservation 1.5 hours prior and had no issues checking in. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite, welcoming, and helpful. Check in was very quick, and he had great food suggestions close-by (East Coast Donair was the right choice). No elevators, but I only had a small bag with me so no problems being on the second floor. My room was relatively clean-not perfect but nothing I was concerned about. The bed was comfortable and I was able to get a great sleep. Check-out was 11am and It was as easy as check-in. The staff were definitely the most memorable for me. Both people I interacted with were very nice.
