We stayed in the Redondo building so we were oceanfront. The building has not been renovated yet so the room is pretty dated. The photos online were misleading that the 2bed oceanfront in the booking was not the same as what we had. Microwave, some updated furnishings would help alot. The tub was very old and stained. Water pressure was fantastic though. Keurig in the room was nice for our coffees. Unfortunately it rained whole time so didn't get much use of the deck. Grounds are really nice. We did not use the restaurant, bar, gym and off season so no pool.

Painters Lodge!...a great get-away.The reception staff welcoming and so friendly!! We had a lovely view of the water. The room was spacious. My only thing was••• the bed could use better blankets. It was a bit cool. Perhaps they are coming with the upcoming renovations. All in all Painters Lodge did not disappoint.

The front desk man was quite lovely. But the room was subpar in terms of cleaniness, there was no recycle bin. The TV didn’t work, I was only staying one night so it was fine, but still.

The hot tub was under construction, so I was disappointed about that. My husband did say the restaurant staff was not friendly toward him at all although the hotel reception staff were very nice. I like the hotel and grounds. We were very comfortable in our room equipped with fireplace. We would stay again for sure.

We enjoyed the ocean view room. It was very clean and comfortable. The food at the hotel restaurant was also great and I look forward to trying the other amenities on site another time. I would definitely stay again!
