The pool was clean but not alot of activities were done. It was hard to book an a la carte as the resort was mainly focused on you purchasing a time share to upgrade your stay and enjoy the additional amenties which included the restaurants. The resort has no night time entertainment. Ie Disco/Club.

The first room we were checked into stunk really bad. I had also paid extra for a room with a balcony and ocean view, but that was a joke. We had a 4 foot tall concrete wall to look at. We complained about the smell and they did send maintenance up with drain cleaner and aroma spray. After I complained anout the balcony, they move us to a different room with a better balcony. But then we had to give up a kind bed for 2 queens. The smell in the new room was a little better, but it seemed to coming from the shower and sink faucets so I'm guessing that was an entire resort issue. The food was okay. We mainly ate at the buffet because the restaurants that required a reservation would get booked up early in the morning. You have to make reservations through their app, but you can only make reservations for the day of starting at 10 am. According to other guests we spoke to, if you pay EXTRA for the El Baso package, you get to book dinner reservations earlier so most of the time, the regular guests can't even book anything because the privileged guests booked it all. The lack of Mexican food was disappointing. I wanted more tacos! Getting a drink in the buffet took longer than it should have. Servers would repeatedly walk by and never offer a refill. I would have to flag someone down to get a drink, which made me feel rude. On a positive note, all the pools were beautiful and very well taken care of and the drinks were great! But they need food options at the pool.

Rooms were kept clean and stocked. The resort was beautiful and we felt very comfortable. One big disappointment was that they were advertising all over about them catering to allergy needs, however we found it very counterproductive. My girlfriend would have to tell 3-4 different people her allergies, and even after that we found it very difficult to find food that she could have. I will say, some of the staff were very helpful in finding some options, but those options were very limited. Just seems like they are portraying themselves as being very “on it” regarding food allergies, but when it comes down to it, it was very difficult. Overall, we loved our time here and would happily come back.

Dinner reservations were hard to secure. We had two rooms under our reservation and most nights we were not able to be together. One night in particular while we were able to get a similar time, they would not seat us together, even though there were several tables open that they could’ve accommodated us. Additionally, the raccoons that were near the pool area by the ice cream shop were seen begging for food and climbing on tables.

Room was lovely updated and clean, quiet in the adult section. The pool and beach lounges filled early, sometimes before 830am. Good food variety in buffet but not restocked often enough, and signage haphazard. Desserts labeled "beef", it would be a nightmare for anyone with allergies. Not enough staff to brinng drinks, no staff at carving stations, sometimes I just carved my own. Red flag flying on beach every day but the last day, no lifeguardson beach, even though the sea seemed pretty calm on some days. Overall the room and staff made up for the other issues

Great property, we were upgraded to privilege and enjoyed few additional amenities, however, privilege is not far off from standard as we didn’t find it extraordinary. Buffets were great but needs some improvements in terms of quality of food. Restaurants were busy and hard to find a spot probably due to Christmas timing. Shows were average. Seems like there is a mandatory tip culture compared to other resorts as each staff who provided us service has high expectations for the tips some even demanded which was unexpected as the resort is itself pricy and tips should be optional. We took playa shopping tour as well which costed us sometime as it stopped on stores which seems tourists trap. Overall our stay was great and we will certainly recommend.

Nice resort, great staff and the facilities were very nice. The beach was average and the food selection was minimal in the buffet or on the dining restaurants. The Brazilian style restaurant was great with a lot different meets cuts off skewers at your table. Only there 2 nights and did not get to explore area.

A few of the servers need to learn to treat other people of color with respect, there were only 2 that stood out. Especially when I was only one of the few good tippers. Everyone else was amazing. No other complaints

Hotel feels tired with poor service. We were staying in a recently renovated room, rust had just been painted over. Long waiting time for service at resturants we lefter after waiting for deserts for 45 minutes. And waited over 1 hour to place order for breakfast.

I loved the services provided and the attentive and kind staff. There was something planned daily- and we enjoyed the stage shows in the evening. The kids looked forward to the buffet meals. Everything was so thoughtful planned and arranged- e.g the gingerbread house decorations on Christmas eve in the buffet hall..

The restaurants are almost impossible to book. Thousands of dollars to eat at a buffet versus the à la carte restaurants. Would never return.

The original room provided was not in the correct building as requested and confirmed in advance. It took unnecessary negotiation and advocation on our own behalf for the error to be corrected. The subsequent room had an issue with AC, which they were not able to correct. The food could be improved, in terms of quality and availability.

Beautiful, classic rooms. Staff was all amazing and extremely helpful. The buffet had great selection and had different themed nights. The pools were beautiful and the beaches were not crowded.
