The hot tub at the property we stayed on was out of service for our time there. An outdoor hot tub is one of the main criteria for my hotel choices, so when we learned it wasn’t working, we considered cancelling and picking a new hotel- until we saw the hot tub closure policy that states no refunds, no discounts. However, when we got a call from the front desk asking how our check in went, they did offer us access to their other property just a quick walk away which was very nice Aside from that, it’s a lovely stay, the check in process was so simple, the front desk communication was great, and it’ll be in my top picks for future trips to the area for sure.

The room was really nice and all of the staff we talked to were super helpful and kind! Specifically Michelle at the office was very sweet and super helpful getting us checked in. I'd definitely recommend for anyone looking to spend a night in Canmore, it's also right downtown so everything is very close!

Our stay at the Basecamp Lamphouse was disappointing to put it nicely. The room was extremely loud - you could hear each footstep from the upstairs rooms, the heater turning on and off sounded like a car backfiring and the walls/ceiling continuously creaked with the pipes. The hot water ran out in the mornings. There were long dark hairs found throughout the room. Be aware that housekeeping is not automatically done and you need to request garbage removal and towels 24hours in advance. The TV remotes didnt work and the hot tub was out of service. Overall this was an extremely poor quality stay and we would never return.

There was a mouse in the room we discovered at 4am when our Son heard rustling as he was staying on the hide a bed. The mouse went under the couch, into the bedroom and behind the TV. No sleep was add by my Wife, myself or my Son after that. Further the power went out at 4:30am.We called and attendant fixed the breaker issue. Quite disappointed there was no offer by Management for a free night or any reduction in cost or refund. Surprised by the lack of pro active ness to address the issue. It was only noted Orkin attended the property to take care of the mouse issue. Disappointed overall.

The room was chilly when we got there. The heater couldn't keep up so we plugged in the two space heaters they had but the circuit couldn't handle it. Unfortunately the breaker panel wasn't in the room so we had to ask the front desk to come help. The room was decent enough but small and only had one chair so have to sit on the bed. Overall, I would probably stay there again if the check-in system was changed. Didn't like having to click on a link to go through a process of scanning my license, entering my credit card in for (again - even though I already paid), putting in my vehicle license plate and all my other personal details. That process is ripe for fraudsters to take advantage of. So I'd be cautious with booking here.

Overall great stay for price. Location right off Main Street with shopping and restaurants. Hot tub was closed and out of service which was a bit of a bummer. Helpful contact centre. Would stay again.
