The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were quite spacious. The food we had was very nice and tasty. Just the lack of parking facilities lets it down, but everything else is great!

Nit for those that want a quiet nights sleep

Pros - it was cheap - bed was very comfy - breakfast was basic but good - staircase was amazing to look at Cons - walls were paper thin - room was tired and so was I after 3 nights of listening to other guests chat and ‘have fun’ and one night they seemed to be moving furniture - floors were uneven … it’s a very old building and looks it. Windows had secondary glazing but this didn’t stop the traffic noise

just a couple of points, the void in the secondary glazing between the hinged glazing and the sash window is laden with dirt. the bath had two chips on it which I have never seen before in any hotel The breakfast was probably the best I have ever had and the staff were helpfull and most attentive. Your hotel would be our first choice when revisiting the City

Really lovely stay! We were early but our room was ready so could go straight in. Beautiful building. A little tired looking but everything was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Radiator didnt work in our room but an oil heater had been provided which did the job well. Great location next to the castle. Definitely value for money and would come back again.

I love staying at the angel hotel its my favourite hotel beautiful hotel lovely rooms stunning design right smack in the centre of cardiff bute park right outside the door town centre right outside the door lovely staff the only problem i had was in the mornings when the house keeping was cleaning they were cleaning and slamming the doors if your staying 1 night it wouldn't bother you but i stayed 3 weeks and the cleaning was the only problem other than that excellent

Decent hotel, and at the price we paid what you’d expect. A little out dated in the rooms, but the hallway on entry is beautiful. Staff were ok, receptionist was not the most welcoming but the cleaner in the morning was really friendly and had great customer service.
