Chame accommodation

On a walk on a side road just outside of town my wife tripped and fell face first into the pavement. She sprained her ankle and badly bruised her entire face and her nose was broken in a few places. A stranger gave us a lift back to the hotel. My wife limped into the lobby, Her face wa bleeding and her pants torn. Visibly in pain and shock. The staff only asked her one question: did this happen on their property? They did not offer to call a doctor or other medical assistance, They did not offer first aid or even a fist aid kit. They did not check in on us or even enquire if we needed any assistance. Very disappointing.

We were terribly disappointed with communications with the property. The internet site says that a door code is sent 24 hours before checkin but on the morning of our arrival we still had not received a code. We tried for 3 hours whatsapp and calling direct but no repsonse. As we were looking at a 2.5 hour bus trip from Panama city to the hotel we were anxious to make contact and get a code. As we had booked thru Expedia we turned to them and they also were unable to contact the hotel from 8:00 till 11:00. So by 11:00 we were completly frustrated and as we were writing a letter to cancel and them book elsewhere the hotel finally responded. Very frustating for 70 year old travellers to be unable to commuicate with a hotel during normal business hours.
