Close to several temples, walking distance to many restaurants, close to the Sunday night market. For me the only negative was how little sun the pool received (about 2-3 hours from about 1:30 to 3:30) each day. I stay in Chiang Mai long term so want to relax after a morning of exploring, an afternoon by the pool then find a good restaurant for dinner and further walking about.

I appreciate the efforts of the extra efforts of the check-in personnel to get me into a room early after my train dropped me in Chiang Mai at 4 am. They were fully booked but made a room available to me before 10 am. I booked for 3 nights but changed hotels after the second night. I couldn't deal with the slow wifi. It took 2 hours to book my next hotel in Bangkok. Also there was no chair of any type in the room i selected and no room for one if i had asked for it. The bathroom was adequate, the restaurant, adequate, the location, adequate.

What a gem of a property! The moment I arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. Everyone was willing to help and the service here was incredible. The property is clean and cozy. You would never know you were in the middle of a city. The room was awesome, spotless, and the bed was too comfortable to want to wake up in the morning. I spent four nights here and wish I could have changed my flights to stay longer. I would highly recommend 99 The Galley and if I'm ever back on Chiang Mai, I would stay here again.
