This was a great location for getting around the city. Tidy neighborhood, and the apartment is just a couple of blocks away from the Metra train station. Trains don't run especially frequently (I think it was around every 50-60 minutes), so a quick check online for the timetable to plan your walk will save you waiting around on the platform. Takes you right to the heart of downtown at Millennium Park and the Museum campus. Passed right by the new Obama Presidential Center & Library, got a great view from the top deck of the train. Get up top for some great urban, park & lake scenery.Parked on the side street the first night, then used the garage the rest of the stay. I've never had a garage with a remote opener before - I felt quite special! Got me feeling some kind of way about my stupid, heavy garage door at home LOL. Considering how close it is to some major thoroughfares, it's a surprisingly quiet neighborhood. Don't be intimidated by the south Chicago location. If you live in any kind of decent-sized city you'll feel perfectly comfortable and safe. If you're from a less cosmopolitan place...relax, you'll be fine. Communication from the hosts was impeccable. Clear check-in and access instructions were provided, and the host responded immediately when I had a question. A comfortable base and place to unwind in the evening after busy days taking in the city, with thoughtful touches provided in the kitchen and bathroom. Glad I picked this place! Perfect for our needs.
