Room was clean, bathroom was outdated and tiny. The Marijuana smell in the hallways was obnoxious. I get its legal in Illinois, but for out of towners like us and with my kids was not well received. The train tracks are close and could hear the squeeling all night. Not terrible but enough could notice all night. I dont recall being notified at booking theres a parking fee overnight. There are about 5 hotels in the area and all share a huge parking lot. We were in town for the Windy City Volleyball tournament. All hotels were full but still plenty of parking. Plenty of food options within walking distance ! Staff was very pleasant and professional!

My reason for giving an overall 3 star rating is because I woke up to small ants crawling all over the night stand. I addressed the issue with the front desk. When I returned to my room, the and were gone. I don't know where the ants came from. Other than that, the room appeared to be clean.

The front desk clerk was very helpful and friendly, but they put me on the first floor near an exit door as a female traveling alone (not safe). When I entered the room, the lights were not working (I finally figured it out). There was no hot water (lukewarm at best), which was very frustrating. There were also dead ants (I assumed) in different areas of the room, which was strange. Overall, I was very disappointed in this hotel and will not stay at a Sleep Inn again.
