Overall a stylish and clean hotel with good amenities, but transparency with fees was lacking. The ambiance was modern and lively, great for younger travelers. Staff at check-in were friendly and informative. The coffee bar and gym were nice touches, and the room was clean with a spacious bathroom.
Unfortunately, there were several unexpected charges — including a parking fee and a hold for debit card use — neither of which were disclosed on Expedia. We booked a canal-view room but received a view of buildings. The gym overlooked a rooftop littered with discarded cigars, and the sliding bathroom door had a large gap offering little privacy. Beds were stiff, and the pillows too firm.
Checkout staff ignored concerns and simply emailed the receipt. It’s a decent stay if you’re prepared for possible extra charges, but I’d recommend calling ahead to confirm all fees. There are much more discrepancies as to fees on the hotels website that do not coincide with Expedia.
