The place IS gorgeous BUT...Not handicap friendly. Inaccessible gates to pool, no pool towels on pool deck level, no restrooms on pool deck level. Had to go thru the basement (iffy when you're alone) to access ramp for pool deck with my mobility scooter. No auto button to open rest room doors. No coffee cups in room for coffee service. Front desk "supervisor" was less than friendly and not helpful.

This resort is really nice and great for a quick getaway. The staff is very friendly and prompt and the the room was really nice. However, the surrounding area is not ideal, there are hardly any nice restaurants and a lot of "riff raff" happening.

A crime scene took place on the beach just outside the property. They closed public access to nearby restaurants and businesses, which overwhelmed the hotel services. We were told after an hour of trying to order food that the kitchen was overwhelmed and would be closed, with no alternatives provided. The rooms and hotel facilities were nice, clean, etc, but our overall experience was very poor. We are unlikely to return to the property or even Daytona Beach.

The Daytona Grande is a beautiful newer hotel in a convenient location. We stayed in an incredible oceanfront king suite with a balcony that was very spacious and impeccably clean. My experience at check-in was less than hospitable, but Amanda, the hotel supervisor, contacted me right away about the experience and rectified the situation. We enjoyed the pool area, gym, and restaurant during our stay. All areas were equally clean and well-maintained. My only complaint is that my husband and I were unable to use the hot tub because of the number of kids using it each time. However, The Daytona Grande is a beautiful newer hotel in a convenient location. We enjoyed an oceanfront king suite with a balcony that was very spacious and impeccably clean. My experience at check-in was less than hospitable, but Amanda, the hotel supervisor, contacted me right away about the experience and rectified the situation. We enjoyed the pool area, gym, and restaurant during our stay. All areas were equally clean and well-maintained.
