Did not have breakfast. I stayed in Des Moines for the Paul McCartney concert. I was hoping your bar would be open after the concert as many people wanted to continue the party. Lots of people standing in the lobby talking about concert and if the bar or a coffee bar would have been available that would have been perfect. Our room was awesome and your staff is very friendly.

The hostess at the restaurant and several staff were very rude to myself and our friends, who were also staying at the hotel, when basic questions were asked and when we asked for a table at the restaurant. Additionally the manager at the bar said he would refund a portion of our breakfast as it didn’t appear for over an hour and only came out when we were getting the bill. I never received a refund. I think they were understaffed or were overwhelmed by hockey players and a wedding taking place that same weekend. Pretty disappointing as it’s a stylish hotel. It’s been a very long time since I received such poor hospitality.

This was a lovely hotel, very close to the Skywalk, which is an amazing walking network, connecting much of the downtown area - safe, secure, and climate controlled. I was in a tournament at the Iowa Events Center and it was an easy 15 minute walk - no car, no hassle! The staff were friendly and helpful. Des Moines has a lot of construction going on.

Best place to stay in Iowa!

We came for the Senior Olympics and had three hotel rooms at the Surety. Each one was fantastic and super clean and comfortable with ice cold air conditioning! The rooms were very well kept and appointed. Beds were super comfortable and the shower/bathroom had nice toiletries. The lobby was where it was at though! It had a wonderful little coffee shop and pastries place. A wonderful restaurant we ate at 3 times! And my kids loved the pool table and hung out there a lot! The best part though was the wonderful hotel manager who knew my name and gave me a shout out every time I saw her! She was amazing. She was a truly wonderful person and had the biggest heart! It was like you were staying at a family member’s place! She was that warm and friendly. You will not be disappointed. There are a ton of great restaurants as well within walking distance, plenty to eat, see and do! Loved Iowa!
