An old coaching inn with a history of highwaymen this was a good stay for us for two nights. We had a family room with two bedrooms and shared bathroom, each with its own double bed and television. The bathroom had a nice walk-in shower. The Hotel also provided fans in the room as there was no air-conditioning. Breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold. The restaurant was busy and we managed to book at the last minute. Location was handy for a number of local attractions within 30 minutes drive including Bicester Village, Diddly Squat farm shop and the Farmers Dog pub plus Blenheim Palace was 10 to 15 minutes away. Just across the road from the hotel is a Jet petrol station

we booked into this hotel because it was close to the Farmer's Dog, as we had a table booked there. Location was amazing, only about 10 minutes drive away. However, I wish we had more time to spend in the hotel, as it was amazing, beautiful location.

As we didn’t book direct with the hotel our evening meal wasn’t included. That wasn’t a problem as you could dine in any of the restaurants for £30 per head. Traveller’s be aware though if you didn’t want to dine in there was no other food purchase options available after 4pm. They don’t offer room service either. The grounds are extensive and it’s not possible to walk to anywhere. Take snacks with you as there is a fridge available in the room.
