Check in was just ok. The staff were a bit out of sorts and in a hurry. The room was definitely in the small side and the bed was pushed against the wall, so my husband had to climb over me to get in bed. The shower has only a small glass wall that only covers about a third of what it needs to, so water gets everywhere when you shower. The sink area isn’t planned very well either and water gets all around. The view of the harbor was nice and the pool was nice, even though it was really cold. We only needed a quick place to sleep for the night before my husband had a work conference starting the next day. When we went to check out and get him to his first meeting, we were told we wouldn’t be able to leave the parking area because of a half marathon. There was a sign in tiny writing at the very edge of the check in desk stating you needed to leave before 9am if you needed to get somewhere before 12:30. This was never pointed out to us or discussed at check in the night before. I ended up having to stay with the car for 2 hours while my husband took An uber to his meeting. Overall, I don’t think I would stay here again

This is a lovely hotel. Room (junior suite) was very spacious with one and a half bathrooms. The location was great with public transportation to old town about a 5-10 minute walk and just in front of the hotel on the way back. There are very nice dining options close by. The staff was very, very helpful even helping us find a last minute tour to go up mount Srd. Highly recommended.

My room had a lovely view of the bay. I had a hard time keeping the shutters open so I had limited enjoyment. The room was clean and airy. The hotel itself is not near the old town, but it is about 15 min walk to the closest bus station which gets you there fairly quickly. It’s about half an hour walk from the city bus terminal.

Perfect city break hotel

Booked this hotel on a B&B deal as part of a two centre stay in Croatia - Split to Dubrovnik then back to Split. Hotel Lapad ticked all our boxes - all staff very attentive, especially reception staff. Room fine albeit with a bit of a trek from the ground floor. Location fine. Parking useful. No complaints.

Great 4 days spent at this hotel. Around 30 mins by Uber from the airport (€30 approx). Warm welcome on arrival. Family suite very spacious in the newer half of the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of options for all types of dietary requirements (the breakfast ‘bubbles’ was a nice touch, as was lacto free milk). Easy transport links and lots of local options for eating out. Old town is walkable if you are fit (30 mins brisk walk), bus stop is a 10 min walk if not, or an Uber at €7. Pool was super cold, but we did travel in October, so to be expected.

Excellent historic hotel.

Excellent hotel, with garden and harbour view from room. Pool still open late October. Fantastic breakfast, friendly staff. Car Park with plenty of spaces. Within walking distance of bus stop for Old Town. Sunset Beach also walkable. Stones throw from start point of 3 Island Boat Trip.
