This was a frustrating rental. We booked this and spent a lot of money for 2 nights and when we arrived first impressions were a filthy hallway leading up to the apartment. Once in we realized the owners not the management company told us the set up for annual Edinburgh Festival were on George Street right outside our windows. There were testing for sound late into the night and there were kegs being tossed out the trucks for all the tents at 6am. This meant we had minimal sleep. When called the management company at 6am asking what to do they told me it was my responsibility to call the local counsel? I also asked for a one hour check out extension so my kids could sleep- the answer was no.
On top of this the apartment itself looked nice in pictures but up close it wasn’t very clean and the wear and tear of the furniture and fittings showed. It also had broken fans, loose plug sockets and was below par.
We would not stay here again and would absolutely stay in a hotel next time. This was not worth the money. You can’t check in til after 4 and you have to be out by 10am… never again.

This was a great place to stay! The only downside is that we booked this specifically because it had a washer/dryer, and the dryer did not work. The location was fantastic and walking distance to the castle and surrounding sites.
