Although the rooms need a bit of an update I think we really enjoyed our stay. One of the windows in the bedroom with the 2 single beds was a bit drafty. Other than that nice place to stay.

The motel is a not far from a pub with friendly locals. The town itself isn't remarkable however dining options (including Thai and Indian) and petrol are cheaper here than Franz Josef. The laundry prices at the motel seemed quite reasonable so I used those facilities.

Dog house

After having a shower I was drying myself with a towel only to find that the towel smelled like someone had been using to dry their dog. Later I picked up a top that had fallen on the carpet only to find that too stunk like an old dog bed. After I looked closely at the carpet I was surprised to find dog fur all around the carpet. I also told the owner that I was unable to close any windows and secure the room as I wanted to go out. His reply was he has cctv and has never had an issue. Give this place a miss and save your money.

Stuffy - no air cond or fans. Can’t open windows as insects will fly in - especially in evening with light on. Pictures on posted website is not true to condition of the motel. Very rundown and old.
