Like my stay last year, the doors of adjoining rooms get slammed at all hours, so maybe adults need reminding by a sign on the doors to be thoughtful to others. The room was perfect, the view I wanted and paid for was better than expected. There is of course need for licks of paint and perhaps in room furniture in need of tlc or upgrade, but for me, it adds to the "age". If you want modern, go elsewhere but the price is reflective of the location, so all things being equal. I am satisfied with my stay.

The property is well used, the fan was noisy and the shower head was leaking at the joints bad plumbing food was fare but not exceptional if you've never been before its a nightmare gaing entrance, but easy once you've done it.

Stayed for 2 night & could have a bath or shower as cold tap on bath didn’t work.the room wasn’t very clean dust on every ledge,the end of the bath panel was hanging off, the dressing table come tele stand was very badly water stained.I have stayed at the St James a few times in the past & it has definitely gone downhill

Me and my husband went for my birthday. Just 1night.it was clean staff are friendly.bed was comfortable. Could not fault the place. Would recommend family and friends to try it for themselves. And it's cheaper than weather spoons to stay. We didn't eat there but other people said the food is good.we will go again sometime. Keep up the good work all the best for the future.vivian Phil.
