Had an amazing time. Beautiful onsen with views of Mt. Fuji from the viewing garden and baths. Great food at the buffet. Very spacious room. Can’t recommend this place enough!

This hotel is quite dated, and it shows in both the rooms and overall atmosphere. However, the traditional kaiseki breakfast and dinner were excellent, offering a wide selection of dishes to choose from. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the rooms, while old-fashioned, were comfortable enough for a short stay. The garden area seemed not particularly well maintained, which added to the sense of the property being past its prime. On the positive side, the location is convenient—about a five-minute walk to the Ropeway—and there is a shuttle bus available, though I didn’t use it. The highlight of my stay was waking up to a stunning view of Mt. Fuji in the morning, which was a real treat and made the visit worthwhile.

We had a Japanese style room with a speechless mountain Fuji view,we were lucky to see it clearly both days of our stay. The onsen is well organised,clean,they provide all the amenities. Both breakfast and dinner is buffet with a big variety of Japanese and western dishes,everything is very fresh and good quality. There is a bus from Odakawa station that leaves you 5 min from the hotel.

It was wonderful mostly. There were a lot of visitors who did not understand nor follow the specific etiquettes in enjoying hot springs. The hotel should do a bit more to enforce the rules. Sometimes it was very unpleasant with these visitors.

The choice of food at breakfast and dinner were terrific. In addition, there was easy access to nature trails and a Hakone Ropeway station. My only suggestion for the hotel is to provide a map or information about the trails. I only found them by walking around.

There were some positives to our stay including the view of Mt Fugi and access to ropeway. The hotel lobby and dining area were clean. The hotel room was old, worn and dated. Not what was shown in online images. The onsen had amazing view but the facilities were old and worn. The gardens were overgrown and unkept. There were limited options for basics such as water since there were limited hours for gift shop and lounge. There was a discrepancy between what was advertised and what we experienced.

I was looking for a Ryokan with breakfast and dinner (half board( included) that has the Japanese spa in the hotel. Although this didn’t have the set dinner I was looking for, the buffet style dinner to me is equally as good with decent selection. We (fam of 4 with 2 teenage kids) stayed in Kai’s ese style room and we were impressed by the size of the room as well as the direct view of Fuji mountain (when it decides to appear). Hotel is 5 min walk to the cable car station and 1 stop from the black eggs. It has shuttle to 2 bus stops too that is convenient. 1 of the bus stop is a 5 min walk too. Overall I loved it. Would recommend.

Onsen hotel with a view

Stayed for one night with family. Great views of mt Fuji from hotel and onsen. Food at dinner and breakfast very good in quality and range. Windy during stay so no ropeway making access by public transport indirect although not an issue as travelled relatively lightly.

Very close to the Ubako ropeway and bus stop. Appreciated the dinner and breakfast buffets - the food was delicious! Rooms were cozy and comfortable. Onsen was nice as well.
