The rooms are in the process of a refurbish from the top floor down, Highly recommend you ask for a room on top floors. When we arrived we had a room with mountain view very fresh and clean ALL amenities mountain view. We requested Ocean view and paid for the upgrade it ended up on the 11th floor what a difference in rooms. Will be lovely once the full room renovations are complete. Travel Tip: make certain you see the room before you pay for a upgrade.

Honestly one of the nicest properties I've stayed in, in a while. The staff were very friendly, starting with our arrival and experience with the staff at the front desk, who were a delight to deal with. The hotel itself is a relaxing and calm oasis in the bustle of Waikiki. Our room was small but had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated. Everything was amazing my only complaint is that it was very loud above our room. We let the manager know and they came to our room and also asked usbthe next day and we told them it sounded like children running around at all hours of the day into the evening but there was no offer to us to change our room. We stayed for 8 days for our qedsing so the noise at night was horrible.

My husband and I really needed a getaway for relaxation and self-care, and decided to book with Halepuna. This was our first trip to Hawaii and we wanted a room with ocean views—and that’s exactly what we got! Upon arrival, front desk staff greeted us with complimentary slides/sandals, and the room had complimentary customized water bottles. The room was very clean, and had a small balcony to step out on to take in all the beauty of Waikiki! The amenities were top notch! We worked out in the gym, filled our bottles with unlimited purified water provided for free by the hotel. We ate at the (Halekulani) bakery next door, and absolutely loved that this hotel was steps away from the beach. WiFi was easily accessible, the bathroom had a bidet. This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and I look forward to coming back and staying at Halepuna again and again!

My concern is the shower room. It's flooding and I have to use a lot of towels to stop it. Hopefully they can fix this. Otherwise the property is good and the staff are very polite.

Great hotel, friendly staff, enjoyed the pool and hot tub. For those wondering, there is a path out to Kalakau not shown in Google’s walking route. It makes the distance to Waikiki beach shorter. You can self park at the left side of Kalia Rd in levels 5 and 6 of the hotel. The hotel will give you a keycard that can be used to get in and out. All day in and out is $52.36 including tax.
