The location is at the gateway to Kalahaua, Waikiki. The entrance lobby was a surprise to be very pleasant. The check-in was fast. The receptionist said this will be your fastest check-in ever. We asked for a room away from the street front but, they were 100 percent full. So we did get a room right over the front entrance facing the very busy Main Street. No matter where you stay in Waikiki you are going to hear loud motorcycles, police and ambulance sirens, or bar music. It’s not a quiet peaceful area. Last night wasn’t too bad but we did have a 2am siren and several motor cycles. The room was larger than I expected with a long kitchenette area and counter as you came in. Full size coffee pot, a microwave and a larger than normal room refrigerator. The bed was acceptable but not great. The water pressure in the shower was great and plenty of hot water. However the curved shower curtain rood was hanging down, the shower head was loose in the wall. The room was clean and towels and soaps neatly arranged. The furniture was dated and dark. There were few plugs for your charging requirements. Checkout was easy and no longer nes of people. A smaller hotel in a busy area but it was good value over a long Valentines weekend. A A short walk to the beach and Fort DeRussy.

Good condition, staff nice. Was surprised with parking charge and hotel amenity charge. They should add those in so no surprise. No maid service unless are there 5 days, so was disappointed with that. We excepted it and still enjoyed ourselves.

Unfortunately this hotel has not been improved with new management and resort fees — we’ve been repeat guests over the years, but we’re rethinking our next visit. Our room furnishings this time showed significant wear, and the front desk lacked some warmth. It’s also a bummer that the hotel has scrapped the novel dvd machine in the lobby and dvd players in each room (which reduced hotel cable costs), just when physical media is having such a resurgence. Appreciate the coffee and water station in the lobby (coffee only during morning hours however), but the lack of any snacks throughout the day or as a welcome to the room make me wonder about the resort fee. The place has lost some charm with new management which seems to be squeezing customers harder and delivering a little less each visit.

The staff and hotel did not accommodate changing plans that were out of our control. Quite unreasonable when life doesn’t always go as planned. Flexibility is a must for the best customer service. In addition our hotel room was entered by cleaning staff without our knowledge. A violation of our privacy and security. We will not recommend this hotel or sta here again.
