We loved our stay at the Hyatt Place! The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great! It’s walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. We will definitely be staying here again!

Check for pool availability before booking

The hotel is well sited close to the beach, and around a 15 to 20 minute walk from the main centre of the Waikīkī strip. Our rooms and beds were a good size and very comfortable. The tower we were in had only two lifts, which for the number of guests in that tower wasn’t enough, and it became a running joke how long we would need to wait for a lift. Breakfast was reasonable and great to be included. Some people complain about the birds at breakfast, but the birds only hang around when idiot guests leave their food unattended. For us, it was a major drawback that the pool was out of use. It looks like could be out of use for some time so it would be worth checking with the hotel before booking if you want to use the pool. They did offer use of the pool at the hotel around the corner.

Parking can be a real challenge because they were sold out on valet parking. Their elevators are really slow plan on 10min extra for each trip. Staff isn’t bad but ask for everything you need at check in, ask for a late check out for instance. They may not accommodate it later. They said they had too many people on the list.

Love this hotel! It was our second stay and we will always choose this hotel for the delicious free breakfast, the friendly and helpful staff, the convenient location and the decent rooms—clean, everything in good repair and fair size. We were lucky to be upgraded from a King City View to a two-bed Ocean View and appreciate it! The property is a bit further from the centre of the city—close to the Zoo and Diamond Head, but transit was efficient and easy. Wasn’t a fan of the dispensary in the lane below as we could smell the pot up 10 stories, nor the noise from the streets, but the Hotel is not to blame—just couldn’t enjoy the patio fully. Pool was closed for Reno’s, but we had access to a sister hotel next door’s pool and it looked much nicer anyways! We prefer the beach and appreciated that we could borrow beach stuff and towels—toys, boogie boards, chairs, etc. The Dominos Pizza in the lobby came in handy when we were exhausted and hungry!

This hotel was a huge disappointment. When we arrived, they failed to provide the twin room we had reserved and instead gave us a room with only one bed. We had to wait until the next day to be moved to the correct room, and the entire process was frustrating and poorly handled. There was no compensation offered, not even a proper apology. The staff were shockingly arrogant and made no effort to correct their mistake professionally. Completely unacceptable service — I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our room which was mountain view was not ready so they gave us city view of the street on the 2nd floor. You can hear cars going by even with the balcony doors shut. Drivers with their music on real loud would wake us during the night. Elevators super slow. Breakfast was free but no place to sit due to renovations. Not worth the money.
