Location was excellent as long as you don’t expect ocean front, which we did not. The Hilton was directly across the street and there were many options for food, shopping and convenience needs within walking distance. The 3 star rating is due to the condition of the outside hallway. Stepping in and out of our room we were walking on plastic sheeting covered in drywall fragments and dust. We saw the room across from us was being renovated or something. The worker was in and out and the door was left open a lot. I specifically requested an upper floor and we were put on the 7th floor across from this. We were told by reception on day 2 that it was a slow time of year and occupancy was low. The property had 16 floors so my request was not only ignored, but we were placed on a floor that was being renovated. I would stay here again but would be a little more forward about concerns.

Building’s pretty old that’s why it’s cheap. Stay was fine. Just two instances involving a receptionist named Bo who was unhelpful and also called the room while we’re napping to move the car from the check-in parking. We were told that all parking spots are usable because they do not have a big parking lot. Occasionally we had to park the SUV in tight spaces so something to watch out for if you rent a bigger vehicle.

Staff was friendly and courteous, received a text message welcoming me during the day of my stay that also asked me if I needed anything. I really enjoyed the 7 process filtered water machine that they have that included electrolytes and alkaline! The pool area was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the area and was rarely busy. Location was only about a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from the Waikiki main shopping/beach area. Close to bus stops and the Ala Moana shopping center. Our room even had a slight view of Diamond Head which was nice. Room was clean, dated but for the price and location it was exactly what we needed after a long day out and about.

It was an excellent stay overall due to Larry, the manager. Location is great, clean room with comfy beds. Our bathroom sink was clogged, they wasted our first half day trying to fix by maintenance. After complaining to Larry, he moved us to 17th floor room with balcony & great view. With so much frustration to begin with, we decided to extend our stay to 4days due to Larry's proffessionalism. Staff was very helpful specially Melvin. Ikaka & Margaret was courteous. Kiara was rude & needs to be better trained to handle Wyndham Rewards guests. We will definitely be back here, as this Hotel is an affordable hidden gem in Waikiki with convenient parking!
