Great staff. Yummy food, great drinks. Nice launchers. We had room 333 right above the bar. It was loud, so earplugs a must in those rooms. Great rooms, had a nice big fridge and great AC. Everything was clean. They have umbrellas you can take to the beach with you. That was great. Parking at $45 a might is expensive.

The hotel is not safe to stay. My first (and last) night at the hotel an homeless person broke into my room from the pool area looking for shelter in the middle of the night while I was sleeping. I have never been more frightened in my life and the line to reach the front desk was down. Called 911 and had a police report taken. I am appalled that someone could not only enter the property in the middle of the night but that the hotel told me they do not have security cameras. They moved me upstairs for the night and I left immediately the next morning. I went to the front desk in the morning and told them i was the guest this had happened to and the man said “oh yes I heard about this, so you are checking out?” No empathy or understanding of the severity of the situation at all. I asked to speak to a manager and was not able to and when I disputed through Expedia they also could not get in touch with “the manager”. This has been a traumatic experience as someone who travels solo for work and I sincerely hope the hotel takes more serious measures to make sure their property is monitored and accountable for the safety of their guests.

Spruced up travelodge

Arrived for early check in a not so nice street, however couldn’t check in until exactly at 3 pm. Front desk was able to hold our luggage in a closet for us and told us we can use the pool while waiting for check in. We were given towels but upon arrival to the pool, we saw that there were only 8 lounger beds total and they were all being used or saved by 2 big families. The 2 families had tons of kids in the pool and beds. They seemed rough around the edges and had gang affiliated tattoos. Those families were often at the pool bar for an hour at a time and wouldn’t return back to the beds but still left their things and towels on them. Other guests couldn’t use the beds at all or get in the pool because their kids were in there causing a ruckus the whole time and blocking the stairs to walk down into the pool. I did not see a life guard on duty and parents were often seen just drinking at the bar and not paying attention to their small children. There was also a lady who appeared to be mentally ill or on drugs who kept diving in and out of the pool, was seen talking to herself and harassing a group of teen girls. Not even sure if she was a guest there or just walked right in from the street. Pool bar only had 1 bartender who was also the bus boy. Our bathroom floor still had sand leftover from the previous guests, blood stain on bathroom cabinet, ants on countertop, stained towel, and moldy towel hooks. Walls were thin and could hear music until 1 am at night from their bar.

Cute & busy

Resort fees here = $30 per day. It was very cute upon arrival. The pool area and bar is also very cute. The rooms are a bit dingy, but ok. Mostly the floors felt dirty like they needed a good shampoo and the shower is extremely small. I’d guess 2.5-3ft long and wide. There is a microwave and fridge in the room as well as a balcony looking over the pool area. This first night was quite loud when we tried to fall asleep. I also could very clearly hear an incessant bird in th morning, but didn’t have this problem subsequent mornings. The bathroom has shutter “windows” which doesn’t lend to ver sound proof or humidity proof rooms- tip- keep that bathroom door closed so the ac and fan can work its magic. Got our car parked by valet for $45 This is very Spendy, but truly was no better options without a 15 minute walk or if you can get the rental bike or scooters to work.

We loved the location for this property and the staff was excellent! The downside were the inevitable roaches in the room (its the tropics so you should expect the occasional visitor) and the entirely too soft, worn out bed. I woke up with a back ache so bad I could barely walk. Add to this the fact that we were put in the room right next to the entry hall and check in desk. This room should not be a guest room or it should be a half-price room because the noise from the area immediately outside our door was ridiculous. We got no sleep at all on the night we stayed. A $300 per night room should be a great room. This wasn't. We would stay there again but only if we got a room on an upper floor away from all the noise, and if the beds were replaced with firmer mattresses.

Overpriced for the Quality

First night pool & bar was closed but we were offered $30 food credit for inconvenience which was nice for them to offer. Hotel is outdated. No elevator just stairs. AC in room seemed to not work properly. Service from staff was great I have to give them that. The hotel just needs some updating. For the price we paid it’s definitely overpriced in my opinion.

Some good and some bad. Decent location but dirty. The courtyard was cute (but loud until 10pm every night - the walls aren’t insulated and so the noise came into the room. After 10 and before 9am it was great!) The birds were chirping in the lush greenery - it felt a little like being in a treehouse and only a block and a half from Waikīkī. The fish were a fun and unexpected addition. We had an issue with a dirty bed and the staff were friendly and addressed quickly. The $40/day for an air bed was aggressive. Save some $$ and head to Target (1/2 block a way) and grab one! The rugs were very dirty and stained. They were so dirty they were sticky in some places and the shower floors were stained. We all wore slippers everywhere and sand shoes in the shower. The ceiling fan was an essential addition to the comfort of the room and worked very well. We did try the food and beverages from the bar which were good. If you are around during the day, the guava slushees are delish! We made good use of the beach chairs and boogie boards which were all in good shape. We liked being close to all the restaurants of Waikīkī just wish the space was a bit more clean.
