A well appointed hotel and excellent service

The hotel was clean and well decorated. Plenty of lounge, function and dining areas. Food and drink were very good, plenty of choice but high end prices. Breakfast was included, tasty and plenty of it. Service throughout was excellent. Bed and room was comfortable. Mobility access might be a problem? There is an outdoor pool. Centre of town and beach was a good 15 minute walk. No local amenities that I noticed.

Restaurant and bar v.good, breakfast good but not outstanding, our room (on 2nd flr) was more of 3star standard, but some of the 1st flr rooms looked very nice. Staff very excellent, and managed to accommodate us for extra nights due to all flights off Jersey being cancelled. Recommend.

Good Professional Staff

Receptionist welcoming and all staff very professional. Breakfast was one of the best we have had (including all inclusive options) everything you could think off. Room and bathroom comfortable but unfortunately not a good view just the apartment right opposite and fire escape, didn't worry us but can imagine it wouldn't be good during the summer months.

I didn’t like our final meal it was destroyed by the chef who interpreted well done steak for cremated. I didn’t complain at the meal but mentioned it when we were departing. I was told I should have reported it at the time. Bearing in mind I wasn’t asking for a refund. Made to feel very uncomfortable when an apology would have sufficed. Not acceptable to serve such a meal or to make guests uncomfortable when they answer honestly about an incident that happened in their hotel. I shouldn’t have to ask to change a meal, shouldn’t be served a steak that was burnt and should definitely not be confronted by three staff telling me I should have said something at the time. The answer is it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Savoy from Monday 11th November 2024 on a holiday from mainland UK. We had a hired car and hotel parking was very accessible and convenient. The hotel had step free access which was helpful for my wife. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast menu catered for all tastes including full English and Continental with fruit options.
