Fairfield Key West

The hotel front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice, although we did have an A/C issuue but tahe staff adjusted our bill for it. The free breakfast was good, and the staff kept it stocked with both hot and cold choices. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing, with a pool bar next to it, that closed at 830pm. The hourly shuttle to downtown was nice, so we used it nightly. The drivers were not very friendly or helpful, but it could have been a language barrier. We would stay here again.

Hotel was nice. Clean. Needs some updating. All doors open right to the outside and there was a big gap under our door where any rodents or bugs could have come through. We didn’t see any but they definitely had access to the room. Staff at the bar was rude and shut the window in my face even though I was trying to ask her a question in the middle of me talking to her because she wanted to close even though it was 15 minutes before their posted closing time. Breakfast was ok they had a decent variety of food but no meats at all. Overall it was clean and convenient.

We'd come back

We enjoyed our stay here. It was far enough away from the city central, that is was very quiet at night, the area was well lit & felt safe, and the grounds/rooms were clean. The breakfasts were hot and had a good variety. The hotel offered rides to/from Mallory SQ area, and that was included and very convenient. The Hop-on-Hop-off trolley (a separate company & NOT included) has a stop at this hotel, so that was a good option to get a tour and not have to drive in-town.

I will start off with the Pros: The staff were all very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The reception area in the main building and the pool/bar area were nice and well kept. Breakfast selection was good. They offer a shuttle, but after hearing other guests complain about hidden fees, we decided to use Uber. The Cons: this was more of a motel feel. Not worth it for the price. We were put in one of the outer buildings. Our room felt depressing. It was outdated and in need of repair. There were 3 separate buildings. It appeared the main building with the lobby and fitness area were kept in great shape, but the other two back buildings need some love. Definitely did not feel like I was staying in a Marriott.
