Kuala Lumpur Holiday Packages

Kuala Lumpur’s white-and-blue skyline is unassuming by day, but by night, the colossal 440-metre high Petronas Twin Towers—the tallest twin skyscrapers in the world—light up the sky like white diamonds. This is a place where you can explore traditional street markets, and then escape the sultry weather by ducking into a thoroughly modern shopping centre. Make your next holiday a trip to Kuala Lumpur and experience a feast for the senses in the Malaysian capital.

Things to Do in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur holidays are the perfect chance to get your Zen on. Visit Chinatown to check out the neighbourhood’s many sacred spaces, including the Sri Mahamariamman Temple, the oldest Hindu temple in the country. The Batu Caves are another popular site, home to the Sri Subramanyar Temple to Lord Murugan, the god of war. Don’t worry—the only battle you’ll have to fight is against the crowds to see his towering statue. Just make sure you don’t feed the monkeys, or you could have another skirmish on your hands.

The Batu Caves are located 13 km north of Kuala Lumpur, so if you want to visit this area, you may need to obtain a car hire in Kuala Lumpur. Next, it’s out with the old and in with the new—reach for the stars with a visit to the Skybridge that connects the Petronas Twin Towers. From the highest two-story bridge in the world, a fantastic view of the city is a sure thing. However, you’ll really have your head in the clouds on the observation deck of the Menara KL Tower, which is 100 metres higher than the Skybridge.

Shopping, Dining & Nightlife

If you hunt bargains better than Mick Dundee hunts crocodiles, head to Chinatown, where you can spend hours searching for that perfect souvenir. You don’t even have to stop shopping once the sun goes down—you can literally shop ‘til you drop as this area turns into a bustling night market. Get your fill of colourful batik fabric, exotic spices and pareo wraps, then fill your belly instead as you eat your way through the city’s best culinary neighbourhoods.

Head to Jalan Bukit Bintang for the best selection of delicious street snacks, like nasi lemak (rice steamed in coconut milk) and savoury roti babi (pork bread). Alternatively, head to Changkat Bukit Bintang, where you'll find numerous restaurants that serve everything from traditional dishes to international fare. This vibrant and popular area is also home to many bars and dance clubs and has been compared to London's Piccadilly Circus.
