The Abita is a boutique type hotel in a central but relatively quiet location in Kyoto. The room amenities and fittings were top rated with nice artwork touches. The staff and systems showed good management and effort to assist the guests stay. The location was good, easy walk to local subway station and further walk/subway ride to restaurants/nightlife and daytime sightseeing activity. Highly recommended for above average hotel stay in Kyoto.

This was our favourite accommodation throughout Japan. The room was huge with a separate toilet and powder room to the bathroom. Japanese PJ's were provided which was a nice touch, also a hair straightener and curler and Nespresso coffee pods. The staff were amazing, so polite and helpful and always smiling. The breakfast was an experience in itself - opt for the Japanese style breakfast- it was delicious. The location was perfect, only a 5 min walk to the Keihan subway line and walking distance to Gion district and Nishiki market accross the river. Perfect walkable location. It was also so quiet and peaceful.

This is the place to stay in Kyoto

Hotels in Kyoto ate pricey and I was not sure what yo expect. This is a wonderful little hotel located central to everything you would want to see here. The rooms, staff and food are impeccable!

I had an incredible stay at Abita. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff were so kind and helpful. It’s located next to the river and I was lucky to see cherry blossoms lining it starting to bloom! My room was one of my favorite hotel rooms to date (with a very spacious bathroom). Bed was comfy, amenities great. And both the western and Japanese style breakfasts were so delicious! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly highly recommend.

Easily the best hotel that we stayed at in Japan. Try to get the morning breakfasts there, the Japanese style breakfasts were delicious and provided an excellent start to our days. The staff at the hotel were also very attentive and provided an excellent experience for us.
