Favourite hotel in Japan 10 minute walk from the bamboo Grove and five minute walk to the entrance of the monkey farm Secluded and a patio area to drink tea. We were even given umbrellas for the rain and they held luggage- BEST YET!

Highly recommend! Stayed in central Kyoto at first but it was too crowded so switched to this hotel. If you wanna explore Kyoto this is a little bit further from things, but the subway is near and incredibly easy to get around with. This area is stunning. Beautiful nature and hotel is right by it + the river!

Not pretty from the outside, but inside it is great. Clean, modern. Excellent breakfast. Good location in a quiet area. Short walk to Arashiyama train station, monkey park, and bridge. Free bikes are a great perk! Staff is friendly and helpful.
