We had a family room and really appreciated the space. But also just loved everything about this Hotel. Staff were great, breakfast was really good, and daily sake was a nice touch. The energy of the place was really nice.

Breakfast every morning was super fresh and delicious with many options. 24/7 free coffee machine that can make latte and mocha and matcha and hot chocolate. Free cup of sake every night. Heated toilet seats and a fancy bidet. Right in the middle of the busy Kyoto city life but out of the way and quiet on the inside. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at and for one tent the price I would expect.

When I asked for a bottle of water at the front desk, I got 3 different answers. One evening shift staff just asked the room number and gave me one bottle. One morning shift staff told me that one bottle per room per day and gave me one. On 1/11 morning, the lady at the front desk told me that no bottle water was available and I just had to drink tap water, which shocked me. The staff should have better training for consistency. Other than this unpleasant experience, my stay was decent. the breakfast buffet was delicious with multiple choices. On 1/9 night, my check-in was smooth, the young man who checked me in was very courteous and willing to help. The room was neat and quiet.

Great room and wonderful staff for check in check out and as needed assistance Lobby bathroom was filthy every time we attempted to use. Ended up just going all the way up to our room. Breakfast selection was wonderful, but the food was not refilled in a timely manner. Most dishes were left empty for 5 minutes or more at a time.
