Excellent place to stay in Gion. Really nice location, convenient. Attentive staff but they will not get in your way. Nice bathroom with a Japanese-style shower and tub area. Very clean and nice amenities. Although no breakfast provided, they provide suggestions and a convenience store is right across the street.

Absolutely stunning hotel. I was genuinely sad to leave. The room was beautiful and exceptionally well equipped. The standard was so high that I was guaranteed to be disappointed by my next hotel destination. Would thoroughly recommend and would love to return in future.

The hotel is located in Gion, the Geisha district. It is located very close to important landmark and temples. I loved the rooms and specially the bathroom.

Exceeded expectations

Booked this room in Kyoto for the extra space and comfort, and was very impressed! Having extra room for myself and my Brother and his family to relax in after a day of sight seeing was a great call. It wasn't cheap, to be sure, but it exceeded my expectations and is one of my all time favorite experiences with a hotel. Sometimes it is worth it to splurge a little, especially with how small most hotel rooms are in Japan. The llocation was also perfect! Highly recommend!!!

This place has a ton of potential. However the stained tatami mats, small shower and outdated toilet were disappointing. The staff were basically paper weights with no customer service training. At one point our room had second hand smoke from someone indoor or outdoor smoking. Otherwise, Gion is the best part of Kyoto, and Rinn is perfectly located. Too bad the controllables were not better managed. This could have been a five star rating.

Loved it. It was very clean, modern yet traditional. It even smelled soothing in the halls and lobby! Location was perfect for our needs. They do have a wash/dry machine - but it is a condenser-style dryer so be prepared for a long dry time. There are several walk-able laundromats in a pinch. Would 10/10 stay here again.
