Paid over $300 for a room and there was absolutely 0 parking spaces available in the parking lot. I was forced to park as close as possible on the street and walk to the hotel, and I got a ticket! I've never once been to a hotel that did not have adequate parking for it's guests.

I was very disappointed in the hotel. The pictures make it look so new and update, but it is an old building with a very surface level makeover. The continental breakfast was also extremely lacking and was served with paper plates and plastic single use cups. Thie is bad for the environment and tacky. As a gluten free person, my only option was the fruit. There were no hot options which are normally available in a breakfast offering. We ended up only staying one of our two nights that we reserved.

I had three interactions at the front desk, and each person was quite cold and rude to myself and other guests I witnessed. The listing says parking is included, but it is not. The hotel told me to go down the road to find municipal parking, but they couldn’t provide an address. It ended up being a 10 minute walk. Troublesome situation with three young kids and all of our ski gear at night while it’s heavily snowing. They had the lobby drive up double parked for their bar party, so it was not accessible. There is only one luggage cart for the hotel, which is quite difficult in a winter sports town. And, the rooms feel like a “quick fix” remodel. The bunk bed was made with raw, unsanded wood with the contractor notes written on it and nails sticking out. The heater banged and rattled. And all of the doors won’t stay open. Door stops were needed but not provided. The floors are creaky. We were woken each morning by someone walking in the room above us. Also, to get to our room, we had to go through many doors by guessing and finding cleaning staff as there is no signage. The hotel changed names from the time we booked to the time we stayed, so I’m not sure if most of this is due to a change in management. We stayed at another hotel in the village right after this and had a completely different experience, for less. I would highly recommend a different option for your Lake Placid stay.

Very close to Mirror lake prime spots. It has lot of cozy lounge spots. Feels premium luxury and great lake views. Only think i didnt like much is breakfast and coffee is not refilled much. Breakfast can improve. Overall great experience.

This hotel changed administration between the moment we booked and the moment of our stay. I must say it shows... When we got at the hotel, we realised they closed the indoor pool and the game room. There's no more restaurant, and the bar was also closed even though it was the busy holiday period. The service at reception was average - it feels like no one is in charge of the place, especially during the evening when it gets loud and busy in the common areas. The rooms are nice and clean. Overall, it's an average experience.

We LOVE this place, it's our 3rd time staying! The staff is wonderful, helpful and hard-working. If you require a quiet room on a weekend night during the hockey season (Sept-April), well, just don't come to Lake Placid... Expect unsupervised, feral, hockey children afoot.
