Room was clean and fine for a 1 night stay. Breakfast was basic but efficient service. For the price, it was very reasonable and I’d look to stay again. Great location and affluent surroundings.

The check in process was quick and easy. I was able to check straight into my room, a couple of hours early. Unfortunately, I was given a room downstairs, under the stair case and right next to the breakfast room. This meant the stairs were load and hallway noisy until 0100 and loud voices were heard from the dining space for breakfast from 0600-1000 which was very frustrating. Without a doubt, the worst room in the hotel I’m sure. Breakfast was described as included and the main selling point of the hotel, but unfortunately just continental. Limited to 4 items (including drink and additional butter / jam etc). Further cooked food came at a cost. Also, my second day, I was told to return as there were no tables free as I followed the instructions at the door and “waited to be seated”. 3 different groups then came in and sat down by themselves, despite me standing there. When I then did the same thing after waiting 10 minutes, I was told to move. Staff were very slow to respond to requests. Location is perfect. Great restaurants and shops nearby. Walking distance to lots of tube stops.

Had to walk 150 to check in then 150 back to the annex then 150 to go and get water ; couldn’t go in coffee room as kids throwing cushions around . Bloke on reception did nothing. Breakfast was rubbish and staff were miserable in attitude - worst hotel in London

The hotel gave our room away to someone else by mistake (that's what the manager said), then didn't have any other room to offer us, so they booked us in a nearby hotel (not as good), with no breakfast (which we paid for) so we had to come back in the morning to the Lords Hotel to get some breakfast. We've not been offered any compensation as we had to wait around a lot for them to sort it all out when they realised the trainee receptionist made a mistake. It was a stressful start of our stay in London.

Not recommended! Stay away from this hotel! I booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 1 night. But never got a refund for the cancelled 2 nights. There’s no elevator (lift)! We were given the last room which was the small attic!!!! we had heavy luggages and could not carry them up to the attic, and there’s no luggage storage either. The front desk person told us we can leave our luggages in the “sitting room” where other guests gather together for coffee or just sit down together. It was embarrassing to open our luggages with a group of people sitting there. Our room was a tiny attic-converted-bedroom:3 small beds, I kept hitting my head on the slopey ceiling when I go to bed. The shower was so tiny, it had a folding door so you can go in & out. It didn’t close well either so the water from the shower leaks through the door. it was a nightmare taking a shower after a long tiring flight! We had to look for a nicer hotel that same night we checked in! Thank God we found a much nicer hotel with elevator and friendlier staff a couple blocks away. The front desk person was not friendly either.

Convenient location, helpful staff. My room was freshly refurbished so while fairly basic, it was in good condition. Breakfast rather limited but at least you don't leave for the day completely hungry.

Good value for money

It was clean, very well located and had everything required. It was quite noisy however, the road noise was loud and no plug beside bed which is a bit inconvenient but overall good stay and good value for money.

Clean room, in a quiet part of town, room functions as expected for a 2 star hotel! Friendly helpful staff. Everything was well thought out in the room, but the pillows could be thicker and the bed was just long enough for me at 5”7. I am picky with cleanliness and it was very good! Breakfast was limited but you were able to get 4 items from the menu for free, speedy service (I was there for 8:30) but it was full by 9 so better to go a little earlier if you can. Overall a pleasant stay that I appreciated, would stay again if in the area.

A clean and tidy hotel in a nice area of London not far from Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Friendly staff and good breakfast choices. Modernised bathroom but room otherwise a bit bland. No tea coffee making facilities is a shame, and the TV was ancient! But otherwise it was ok, particularly as it is cheaper than most London hotels.
