1/5 — Very Disappointing Stay

My sister and I were very disappointed with our stay at The Star Hotel in London. There was no breakfast provided despite it being advertised on the website. The courtyard also had a noticeable spider infestation, which made the entrance area quite unpleasant. Our room (number 30) was on the top floor, and there is no lift, meaning we had to carry a 23kg suitcase up several flights of stairs. Once inside, we discovered the radiator was stuck on full heat and the shower only ran boiling hot water, with no option to cool it down. The mattress was also extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep. Although we reported the heating and shower issues to reception, no one came to fix them. On the day of departure, the electricity to our room was switched off exactly at 10am, leaving us to get ready in the dark. When we went downstairs, the hotel appeared deserted with no staff present. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Solo concert trip

Room good, given key which did Room and front of house,very clean, remote didn't work on tv but worked manually, shower in morning was nearly a no go as took ages to run hot ,bed reasonably comfortable, all in all pretty good for a budget stay location excellent for Eventium Apollo.

Lana and all the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable, we slept so well. Location is great with easy walking distance to Hammersmith station and a bit further in the other direction to Shepherds Bush station where there is also a nice Westfield shopping mall. It was so convenient to get into London city and enjoy our time. We had a great stay at Star Hotel!

This place is excellent for a solo travel , the room I got was small but it was ok since it was just me. It’s literally like 10 mins away from the train and has plenty of places to eat and go to the bars. Service was excellent and check in was a breeze.
