10/10 My favourite hotel in London!

I recently stayed at ARK for the second time, this time with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday, and it was just as incredible as I remembered. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist was so kind, welcoming, and helpful, making the check-in process seamless. Their warmth and professionalism truly made us feel at home. The amenities here are absolutely outstanding. The swimming pool is a highlight—not only is it beautifully maintained, but the views while swimming are breathtaking. We also made the most of the sauna, steam room, hot tub, and cinema room, all of which added to the luxury of our stay. The pool table was a fun addition, giving us even more ways to relax and enjoy ourselves. Waking up to the stunning city views and indulging in all the amazing facilities made my birthday celebration truly unforgettable. Having stayed here twice now, I can confidently say this is one of the best places to stay in Canary Wharf, and I will definitely be returning again in the future!

Not bad but definitely needs improvement

Location is good for my visit purpose. Room is small , so if you are a solo traveller its no problem at all but for couples, too small. Bathroom is very very small , for me it wasnt a problem as I am a small person but for someone who has a big figure, can be a problem as both the sink and the shower is tiny. When i first went in my room, it was so obvious that there was not any proper cleaning. Bed sheets with hairs and some other visible bits. Door handles and kettle are sticky. No dish soap left, clear that no one even bothered to check. Toilet seemed ok at first but when i checked in detail, a mess! They probably hope that not doing a thorough cleaning would go unnoticed if you are not careful but its toilet!!!!!! First thing hotels must make sure is the toilets are completely bleached all over as its very easy to catch illness from toilets. TV was terrible, but I didnt need it at all so personally it didnt bother me this time. I am happy that as soon as I informed the friendly staff on the reception, they immediately come and change the sheets and clean the toilet properly. I am giving good score based purely on my personal experience. But thinking about everything all at once, hotel must review and improve their rooms and especially cleaning processes.

A Disastrous Stay I wish I could give zero stars for my stay at Ark Hotel, as it was undoubtedly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, the visit was riddled with disappointment and frustration. Firstly, the room lacked a basic amenity – the TV remote was missing, which meant I couldn’t even use the television properly. On top of that, I was not informed beforehand about the lack of robes and slippers for using the sauna and pool facilities. This is a glaring omission that demonstrates poor communication and a lack of care for guest comfort. To make matters worse, the property is not a proper hotel but seems to be a residential building passed off as one. This is highly misleading and adds to the discomfort of the entire experience. The staff were absolutely horrible – unhelpful, rude, and unprofessional. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority here. Honestly, I regret ever booking a reservation, and I strongly advise others to avoid this so-called hotel at all costs. If I can claim compensation, I absolutely will, as this stay was a waste of time, money, and energy. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else. This place is an utter disaster.

Very disappointing stay

The positives - comfy bed and pillows and friendly reception team. The not so good - smell of drains in the very very tiny bathroom. Someone else’s hair in the shower plug on arrival. Limescale and dust around the outside of shower. Noisy fridge that had to be turned off to sleep. No air con and even with snow falling in London far too hot. TV did not work but helpful receptionist explained the connections are all loose so came and jiggled with it. Loose plug on the wall. I could deal with the DLR noise but some may not. Free WiFi but it was immediately intercepted by scammers so be careful.

Absolutely the worst. Do not come here at. Matter a fact don’t even use hotels.com because they are just as worthless. Picture are incredibly deceitful. I had booked a three night stay and as soon as I walked in it was horrid. Nevermind the small space, the bugs and gnats in the shower were enough to raise concerns to front desk. The not so helpful and rude agent looked at us as if we were stupid and did not want to switch us rooms but ultimately did. Then this one had stains on the bed! Disgusting! I booked the Hilton plaza the next day. Hotels.com did absolutely nothing when I raised my concerns and “followed up with the hotel” after nearly a month of no contact I emailed them to see what was happening and they replied they would get back to me within 48 hours. I received that message 3 times. So an additional week for them to tell me they would not refund me due to their policy. My recommendation is never to go to this property and to book directly at the hotel you want to stay at. You get rewards and don’t have to deal with hotels.com incompetent customer service
