The location was fantastic near the tower and bridge. The porters v. Helpful, and the food at the restaurant tasty. BUT the property and rooms very run down, the reception and check in staff not as helpful as the porters

Location was good but what was bad was too hard to overlook. Let's start with no air conditioning - just a central distributor of lukewarm air to provide a mediocum of ventilation. The outlets in the room are not near the nightstands and are on top of a desk that poses other problems. For example, if your adapter has plugs on the bottom, then your charging cord won't work because there is simply not enough space between the charger and the top of the desk. Third issue - drainage or simply lack thereof. Good luck getting the bathtub or sink to drain. It takes forever. Fourth - housekeeping failed to replace empty shampoo/body wash containers despite me telling them. Pick up the phone and try to get a hold of reception - either no one answers or you can't hear the voice on the other end of the receiver. Either way, it's a lose-lose situation. It would also have been nice for the hotel to also let you know that there was an active construction project before you make a reservation. Omitting that information was very deceptive on the part of the hotel. Horrid experience and would highly recommend people look for better alternatives. I will not be returning to this hotel based on my experience.

The property is located in a nice area and is generally well maintained. Lobby and other common areas were good. The first room we were given was smelly, there was a fan drying the carpet and it was clear the room was not ready. The second (upgraded) room was so hot. The property had no air conditioning and it wasn’t obvious from the lobby and other areas that the room will be this hot. The fan we received was barely helping. Also the bathroom seemed to have no ventilation whatsoever. Made it really uncomfortable.

It’s ok. Views are spectacular. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The problem I had was the dining staff at the Vicinity. Everyday they had some different “rule” the first night I ordered a drink at 10:55pm to take it my room and it was fine.. the 2nd night it was 10:50pm and I walked up to the bar and they told me they aren’t taking drink orders. 3rd night, they told me I had to sit at a table first.. wait for a server, then order my drink. I told them why the change, and the employee told me “you don’t know what I’m talking about” I asked for a Vodka soda and the previous nights. They did not charge me for the “soda water” and this time they charged me $5 for the soda water”

Our room was at 80 degrees (27 C).there was no aur conditioning. We were told they wouldbring us a fan.But they did not.No towels in the room. The shower was broken. If you main reason for staying in London is visiting the Tower of London, this property is adjacent butnot close to other central London attractiona.We were excited to stay here but ended up very disappointed.
