I loved the location being so close to Paddington Station and walkable to Hyde Park. The beds were comfortable and the hotel very quiet. Only negative was the shower. It was impossible to shower without wetting my hair. Slight inconvenience. Otherwise all good.

We stayed at the property for 4 nights and were quite happy to leave. Location is fantastic, room however wasn't even big enough to swing a cat in. The bathroom was even smaller. No air con, no bar fridge, took staff 3 days to take the bag of rubbish we had collected in the room. The shower drain cap was non existent when we arrived but magically appeared on day two. Had an issue with the bathroom sink, which was corrected fairly quickly. Upon our departure, we had to take our heavy cases down two flights of stairs due to a broken lift, didn't know the lift was broken as the sign they had for it, was placed in the door but had since fallen out. The lack of air con was quite a problem, they did provide a fan, but all that done was swirl hot air around and with the bathroom being in close proximity to the everything else, after you have showered you were hit with even more hot air due the fan in the bathroom not being able to keep up. We quite often slept with the window open just to try and keep cool, which was hard with 3 people in a small room. The amount of body heat resulted in a few sleepless nights. Other amenities were stocked up fairly well and regularly, even items that didn't need changing/stocking up were multiplied by the day. It's great if you are just looking for a place to sleep but just not in the summer/middle of a heatwave.

PRIVACY CONCERNS

This hotel is a cheap proposition on an overpriced London market, so my hopes were not high regarding quality or service. The room was very small and there was no AC so it was terribly hot and uncomfortable. The condition of the room was decent to its age and was decorated with good taste. The worse part was the check-in where I was gifted with the most bizarre situation faced in many years of staying in hotels around the world. The receptionist level of English was substandard and she struggled to converse or understand me. Even after showing her my ID she couldn’t find my name in the reservation list, so she decided to read out loud all the names of the people staying in the hotel that night! This is totally unacceptable and a terrible practice regarding customer privacy! Ironically my name was obviously on the list, and she felt surprised that she hadn’t been able to match my ID with her list details. No apologies received after such appalling situation. She either had no training or is the wrong person to work at an hotel reception. I will definitely won’t stay at this hotel again. This level of unprofessionalism as no excuse to occur.

Every thing was fine and it provided us an overnight place for a night at the opera. It was all rather basic and the room cramped for space for us as a couple. Still, the price we paid was less than elsewhere that was available.

For what was needed this hotel was ideal, outside litter was not hotels fault as all hotels along the run had same problem. Easy check in, everything we needed for our stay was provided and staff at reception were polite and pleasant. Location was great for many amenities. Would stay again as close to everything we needed

Great little hotel

Great location and reasonably priced. No air con meant the room was very warm at night (the day temperature in London was 32 degrees though). Easy quick check in enev though the lobby was busy.

Nice little hotel

We stayed here due to its location close to hyde park for the music festival. The rooms are very compact but they have everything you need. There is no air-con but a portable fan was available in the room (stored in wardrobe) Shower was very good. Would use again

Positives- excellent location, comfortable beds, pleasant staff, bike rental near by. Negatives- tiny waterfall shower that left no space to wash without turning off the shower, could use a luggage rack, window in our room didn’t fully close, not air conditioned so the room was hot at night and no fan in the bathroom which made it super hot to shower.
