Friendly staff, convenient location, nice pool and clean. Only thing is you have to request room service a day before or else they don’t come. Not too bad just have to plan around it. Also, parking was a lil pricey especially having to take 2 elevators, walk through the lobby and out to the parking garage. If you have a lot of luggage it can be a hassle.

There’s something really lovely about walking into Hotel Pasadena. It doesn’t try too hard. It’s just… effortlessly cool. Like that friend who always looks put together in jeans and a T-shirt and somehow makes it seem easy. The rooms? Honestly, they’re the kind of spaces you walk into and immediately exhale. Soft, warm tones, big comfy beds that practically whisper, “Cancel your plans.” The linens are crisp but cozy, the lighting is flattering (which, let’s be real, matters), and everything feels thoughtfully placed without being fussy. It’s modern, but not cold. Stylish, but still inviting. You could absolutely curl up with room service and a movie and not leave for 24 hours — and no one would judge you for it. And the staff? They’re the kind of people who make you feel like you’ve stayed there a dozen times before — in the best way. Genuinely friendly, not scripted. You ask a question, and they don’t just answer it, they lean in a little, like they actually want to help. There’s warmth there. It feels personal. You can tell they take pride in the experience. It’s comfortable without being boring. Chic without being intimidating. And the overall vibe? Relaxed, sunny, and just a little bit charming — very Pasadena, honestly. Would I stay again? Completely. Probably with an extra night tacked on, just because.

The parking situation is a a really big turn off and If I would have known prior I would not have stayed here. You can’t go directly from the garage elevator to the lobby, you have to take an outside concrete hallway which is not ideal at night or as a woman alone. You also have to pay $35 a day per night per guest (not per room) which quickly adds up as I paid over $140 just to park our cars. I paid for an upgraded room with a view of the pool which wasn’t honored as we were put in a smaller corner room and I still haven’t received my receipt from checkout. One of the garage elevators and one of the hotel elevators was not working and only 4 guests can fit on an elevator at a time as they are very small. This was not what I expected and I recommend staying at the Hilton around the corner.
